Ruhi's brother agreed to marry her to Behroze but also cut ties with her.

Yup. He was like you'll get no dowry, and where you live will be your problem. I think he was hoping to scare him off, but Behroze said he believes he'll be able to provide for her and Inn Sha Allah keep her happy. He just scoffed, he obviously believes they'll crash and burn.

Wow! It gets interesting.. Maybe thats why Behroze takes Ruhi back to his house but Agha jaan kicks them out
