Chapter 4

"I just want to be there
When we're caught in the rain
I just want to see you laugh not cry
I just want to feel you
When the night puts on it's cloak
I'm lost for words don't tell me
All I can say
I love you 'till the end"

This was the last lines of the diary, the last paragraph of the song, the last concluding song written by Nikhil. Gauti kept the Xeroxed papers aside, he could not believe that this girl was into so many pains, he stared up stairs at the ceiling of the room and wandered how would Roshni look if she ever smiled, here in their first love letter that was struck in the diary, Gauti had read how badly Nikhil was obsessed by her smile. Gauti thought hard and he thought for long with the flickering bed lights of his room. Suddenly an idea struck him, and the diary provided every minute detail of their life to make this plan possible to bring back the old Roshni, he had an urge to see the old Roshni and he was going to go to any level for that, he took a great look at the letter written by Nikhil and then took down a paper and started writing, escaping from all the lights of the corridor he managed getting into the girls hostel and slipped down the letter into her room and walked back to his room.

The brimming lights of the sun brightened up Roshni face, she was happy as she had felt the presence of Nikhil in her dream, she stretched herself as her eyes noticed the envelope she took it as in front it was writer

"TO my CHOZA"

Her eyes grew wide and a smile was plastered to her face, as she tore open the letter and tears blinkered in her eyes as the hand writing was of Nikhil and she read the letter a little loud audible only to herself,

"Surprise. I know this probably feels a little bit weird... But I just hate the idea that I'm not gonna be there to see you going to college. I mean, my choza is growing into a hen. Heh-heh. That's funny. Okay. No, it's not. You're going to be so impressed. I have a plan, baby. Can you believe it? I've written you letters. Letters that will be coming to you all sorts of ways. Letter number one will be arriving today night and do not wait for it because I am Santa my sight might make me disappear me forever. Now, you must do what I say, okay? Don't try to figure out how the letters are coming. Just go along with me on this. Because the thing is, I just can't say goodbye yet. So for starters. I want you to get dolled up, and just go out and celebrate your college life. Go out and make some friends. Aha do not forget to wear that red hot dress that I gifted you last Christmas

I love you."

She hugged the letter to her heart and jumped down her bed, pulling down the curtains that till now blocked the lights but today it was bringing the new sunlight in her life, she got a shower and dressed into that dress, she had never parted away from anything that had his memory she settled her hair like never before, and walked down the corridor with a smile even Neha noticed her new change, as she sated down chatting with Shivani with her mouth full of food yet willing to speak, a sweet smile was plastered to Neha face watching Roshni smile but the person who was more happy was Gauti but he knew there was something more to do, to make her the Roshni she had been, he stood aloof with a smile in his face, he walked towards her after sometime as she raised her eyes and gave him a curious look as he said

"Sorry to behave that way, I did not know you were Neha s sister"

The whole cafeteria came to a hat Gautam was saying sorry to someone even Gauri felt herself balancing she stood up and replied scornfully

"Even if I was not Neha di s sister you should be owing a sorry to me"

Gauti clenched his fist in fake anger as he said gritting his teeth

"Do not go overboard with it or I will make sure I make your life hell"

"Ok let's try being in hell"

She replied with an arrogant smile as she walked away, Gauti also marched away with a happy smile on his face, and a satisfied mind he could not wait for the sun to go down and send her the second letter, he was in love with this double role of his, his soft nature made him so attached to Roshni it was just two days that he met her yet after reading the diary he felt he had know her all while and he had an unknown attachment towards her, finally after the entire day of scornful eye war whenever they met, the night crept up as he began to right the letter, it had a different message he had somehow after reading the diary developed an interest to watch Roshni dance, and even the inter college dance competition was coming close so this letter had asked her to dance. As planned the next day she had registered for the dance program, she seemed happily talking to her sister also, and now she was sitting with her sister only during lunch time even Shivani was included in the new group, as the dinner time came by surprisingly even Gauti and his two other friend sat in their table as Gauri looked at him at said

"What are you doing here you dog?"

"I am here to bark at your bf any porbs?"

Before their fired convo could get any worse it was peacefully concluded by Yuvi as it was decided that he would be with them, after dinner as Roshni went to drop her plate but before she could trip down she was held tightly by Gauti and that was the beginning of their friendship, and after they were paired up there dance even grew more stronger Roshni was more back to herself and with the letters it had helped her to regain her old shelves. Gauti had developed a love corner for Roshni he knew he was in love with her but in any way he did not make the letters an influence towards his love, while now even Roshni felt a strange attachment towards him. Months passed by, even her father was clueless about her new avatar she hated holiday as that meant her letter was not coming, and no one even knew about it except for Roshni herself, one year passed and now they both had become inseparable, finally during the midterm holiday Roshni realized her love towards Gauti, she loved him for his childlike behavior and sweet helpful nature, no matter what he was towards other but to her he was a gentleman after their group graduated Roshni was more attached to Gauti and finally on their graduation party Roshni planned to propose to Gauti middle of the dance she pulled he away to the empty corridor and knelled down on her knees asking

"Gautam will you spend the rest of your life with me"

Chapter 5

He shook his head in a no and for the first time in his eyes, a tear dropped from his eyes as he said to her

"I think after confessing the truth to you... you will be going to reject me"

All the colors drained away from her face as she stood up and asked

"What truth?"

His head was still bowed down as he started to say

"I love you ... I always loved you ...but I did something which is unforgivable the letter you have been getting was all mine, I got your diary and red everything, at that time I pitied you and wanted to bring back the old Roshni and so I began writing letters but in coarse of time I realized that I love you more than anything...you are the best thing that could ever happen to me"

She looked at him with fire glances as she said to him

"Do you think I will ever love you after saying this?"

"I know you won't but I wanted a confrontation before going I have hurt you enough but cannot hurt you more"

"Thanks for the confrontation"

Saying this her eyes was filled up with tears as she walked away, he watched her going as he knelled down crushing down the rose in his hands while she marched to her room took out all the letter and threw it away she sat on the floor crying, she was broken again but this time her heart ached even more badly.

NEXT DAY

Gauti had packed everything his room looked empty as memories started flashing down his minds, he paused his breath at the memory where he met Roshni for the first time, as he looked back for the last time and walked back, his results had cleared and last night he had decided to go abroad and continue his further studies. He walked towards the corridor as all his junior began to give him farewell messages he never knew in spite of troubling them so much he could ever gain so much of respect, he walked past the basket ball court as a ball smashed his face he looked aside and was shocked it was roshni she was all fired up as she came to him there was SLAP in his face, he looked at her as her eyes was filled with tears of pain as she questioned him,

"HOW DARE YOU?"

He looked confused as she smudged her head and said

"How dare you leave without saying your girlfriend a good bye?"

"Girlfriend?"

"Yes girlfriend and I am all your you know last night when I read all your letters I realized that how stupid I was... in all letters you just taught me to be happy not even for once you forced your love on me, not even for once you talked about yourself, I wandered how could you be so selfless and I cannot afford to lose my love again"

He stared at her for some time and then walked in front she looked at him, tears swelling his eyes maybe he had not forgiven or maybe he was leaving her forever she needed to stop him, as she called out his name in pain

"Gauti"

He looked back at her with a bright smile and said

"I wanted to see if I ever leave you will you wait for me"

She looked at him blankly and nodded her head in a yes, he dropped his luggage and ran to her scooping her body into his head and said

"I will always love you Roshni"

"I love you too Gauti"

While the entire collage hooted at their reunion.

After 5 years

She stormed into the room, as she sternly looked at her husband and her little devil both made a disaster of their room while playing cricket in their room, the new flower base was in pieces as she directly went and took out the plug and the screen went dark both of them gasped together. As she ordered her three year old Nikhil

"Nik go to your room... you are grounded for a week"

Keeping his bath disappointedly he moved back to his room while Gautam rested on his sofa and proudly said

"I have to go to office so you cannot ground me in my room"

"I certainly cannot but I can ground you on something else"

"No ros not again"

"Yes Gautam you are restricted to touch me for the next nine months"

"Oh no why NINE MONTHS"

He thoughts for sometime as he looked at her face that had turned pink as he walked towards her and took her into his arms and said happily

"I cannot believe Rosh that you are giving me this good news that too for the second time in this three years"

"Are you mocking at me Gautam?"

"No way Rani Shahiba"

"Good now clean up the room and come down for lunch"

She turned to leave as he called her name, she turned back as he smiled and said

"I might keep it to myself but I really love you and Nikhil a lot Rosh"

"I know we love you too"
