This episode has established all the characters of the Godbole family through Kanya's v\o. Kanya fails to get the post of a manager in one of the most famous 5 star hotels and instead is offered the position of a maid in the housekeeping department. she refuses the offer. On the other hand Anant(Kanya's father) was expecting a promotion, gets a vrs i.e. early retirement with full pension. After returning back home, Kanya doesn't reveal anything in the family about her interview. But when Anant tells the family about his retirement given by the company Kanya immediately calls up the hotel manager and accepts the post of the maid in the house keeping department. The family's closely knit emotional binding is established when Anant reveals about his retirement.
