'Antakshari' bids adieu

Zee TV's Antakshari bid adieu for a short time to its viewers. The show had a successful stint of 12 long years and this is the first time that Zee TV has decided to give the show a break and bring it back after sometime.

Antakshari announced the break at a gala event attended by the entire music, films and TV fraternity. While the show is on a break to come back revamped, it is speculated that Annu Kapoor may not be a part of the revamped show.

Speaking at the event Zee TV's Programming Head, Ashwini Yardi said, "Antakshari has been the longest and one of the most successful shows of Zee TV. A quick break is only to make it much more exciting for our viewers, who have supported Antakshari."

Annu Kappor co-hosted the evening with Pallavi Joshi and former hosts Durga Jasraj, Richa Sharma and Rajeshwari. Participating in this historic episode were music maestros like Shaan, Kunal Ganjawala, Babul Supriyo, Baba Sehgal, Varun Badola, Rohit Roy, Manhar Udhas, Suresh Wadkar, Vasundra Das, Sunita Rao, Sadna Sargam, Shweta Salve, Ritu Choudhary, Sophiya, Hema Sardesai and Jaspinder Narula to name a few.
