Karan
Karan is an honest ex-cop, who has left the services because he was disillusioned by the system. He disagrees with the system. He had no belief in being a part of the system, and abide by all the wrongs. He is a man of principles, dignity and self-respect. Karan has a dark past where he has lost his fianc Ramona, a social activist who was killed in a police firing, while holding a morcha for the rights of the poor. He lives with her memories and still loves her. No other woman can take her place his heart. Karan is very serious about his work and will do anything to bring justice.
Sidhhu
An absolute crook, a conman, Sidhhu is the master of disguises. He is ready to earn money by hook or by crook. He lies to the whole world about his reality and identity. He flirts with every girl he meets and expects all the girls to fall for him. He follows certain principles taught by his mother, which he applies everywhere to complete his unfinished work. But at the end of the day he is a lovable character.
Vishram P. Wakatkar
Wakatkar is an ex-DIG, who has voluntarily left the services and wants to earn more money than what he used to get as a DIG. A very intelligent man who knows how to deal with the world and the situations. But at the same time he is a miser. Loves money but hates to spend it, especially on others. He ropes in both Karan and Sidhhu to form a team of investigators who solve cases. Wakatkar's sense of humour, often makes others laugh unintentionally.
Rajeshwari Devi (Sidhhu's Mother)
Sidhhu's mother played by Himani Shivpuri is a loving and caring character who represents spirituality. She is a simple and loving mother, desperately trying to get her son married to a girl called Tulsi in the village. She is a very religious woman indulged in performing poojas and rituals. Sidhhu manages to fool her every time. She is unaware of her son's real character and believes that he is the simplest boy on earth . She is very protective about Sidhhu.
Raoji
The obedient servant of Wakatkar, Raoji is a dumb but caring person. He has no one except Wakatkar to call his own in this world. He follows a strict diet for his master, which includes "Karele ka Juice'. Raoji is always cribbing about a salary raise, which he knows that he will never get even if Wakatkar becomes a millionaire. Raoji is a good hearted man, and is the comic relief of the show. About the show
An ex-cop and an ex-con join hands to fight crime, in this action packed show.
Karan (Sallil Ankola) and Sidhhu (Vinod Sharawat) - two guys from completely different backgrounds and poles apart in attitude - get together to fight crime, masterminded by a miserly, crafty old man, Vishram Wakatkar (Saurabh Shukla of "Satya" fame). Though there is a constant one-upmanship game going on between them, both trust each other with their lives.
The episodes also have humour derived from the relationship between Wakatkar and his Man Friday Raoji (played by Vijay Patkar), who ensures that Wakatkar drinks foul-tasting concoctions, that he passes off as health drinks. Sidhhu's mother (played by Himani Shivpuri) has been led to believe that Sidhhu is well settled in life. Once, She comes to Mumbai, with a proposal for Sidhhu, to marry the daughter of the pujari in their hometown and discovers the realities of Sidhhu's life! Karan takes immense pleasure in this and fuels the fire.
Very often Karan and Sidhhu are emotionally involved in the cases that they takeup and work for justice than for the money they can earn from it. One such instance is the case of an old man, who is in search of the man who bombed the plane in which his entire family got wiped out. Karan is moved by it and makes it his mission to punish the guilty. In the end, Sidhhu and Wakatkar also join hands with Karan and fight for justice. When a young child is the witness to a murder, both Sidhhu and Karan protect him. They hunt down the heartless mercinary whose intention was to kill the child.
The series also has a dose of romance and glamour. Karan morns in silence and lives with the memories of his lost love Ramona, who died in a police firing. Sidhhu, on the other hand, is a flirt. His dream is to find a rich, good looking woman. Pooja, a dancer, (played by Shruti Seth of Shararat) is in love with him, but he is not serious about their relationship.
Visually brilliant AK…TION UNLIMITED JOSH, is undoubtedly bigger than any television series and will set the benchmark for fiction television hereafter.
This series is an entertainer for everyone, with a mixture of drama, suspense, thrills, song, dance and mind-blowing AK…TION!
