Ravan has found a new global fan The Zee weekly Ravan might not have exactly rocked the TRP charts but the scientific approach to the show seems to have impressed the elite audience. The show has recently won a huge international fan. A singer and composer from US, Charlotte Marie was holidaying in India during the launch of Ravan. She managed to catch up with the first episode and was so impressed with the show and the lead actor Narein Jha that she actually turned up on the sets of Ravan at Umargaon. "The lady is doing research on Indian music. She realised Ravan's contribution towards Indian classical music and decided to pay us a visit. She watched us shooting and talked about Ravan in great detail. It was nice to see a foreigner show such reverence towards Ravan, who many think is the biggest villain of Indian mythology", says an elated Jha. The pretty Indianised Charlotte Marie has an Indian name too, Leela Shakti. As a token of appreciation she left a gift for Narein Jha. |
