WEST-FACING: Bianca building off Panch Marg, Versova

It could be termed luck — by design. A newly built Versova high-rise called Bianca, is proving a lucky mascot for Bollywood stars. There's something about Bianca, they say.

Vaastu perfect

This west-facing Hiranandani construction is apparently vaastu perfect.

Says actress Celina Jaitley, who lives on the 15th floor, "I have been staying in this building for six months now. Everyone who enters my penthouse says the building has very positive vibes."

Jaitley has a special bond with Bianca. "The day I was crowned Miss India (January 27, 2001) was also the day the actual construction of this building began." Celina feels that ever since she shifted to Bianca, there has been a marked improvement in all spheres of her life.

Resident Farhan Pettiwala, who stays on the first floor, has a similar view.

"My air-conditioning service and solution-providing business picked up in a big way and I opened operations in Bangalore as soon as I shifted here."

Bhumika Chawla

Bianca's other residents include Bollywood actress Bhumika Chawla and television star Rupali Ganguly (Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai). It is learnt that Chawla signed five films after she shifted here.

Shahid, Kareena spotted

Actress Hrishitaa Bhatt is also in the process of shifting here — on the fourth floor, but she says she still has to feel Bianca's lucky touch. And residents have spotted Kareena Kapoor and beau Shahid Kapur house-hunting here. Incidentally, bookings are still open.

Ekta angle

Some scenes of Ekta Kapoor's film Kya Kool Hain Hum were shot in the Bianca garden. K2H2 was her first hit film — was it the Bianca effect?

How much do flats here cost?

The building has two to three-bedroom flats.
Cost: Between Rs 70 lakh and Rs 1 crore

What inspired the name Bianca? Our guesses...

1. Bianca was the sister of Katherine in William Shakespeare's play, The Taming of the Shrew.

2. Also the name of the third known satellite of Uranus, discovered by Voyager II.

3. High-flying '70s celeb Bianca Jagger — the first wife of Rolling Stones star Mick Jagger.
