| MUMBAI: Sony Entertainment Television India has almost completed its advertising revenue mop-up activity for the upcoming Champions Trophy and the cricket World Cup next March. With the signing up of two associate sponsors (for both events), the total number of associate sponsors for both tourneys now stands at seven. |
| Set India executive vice president (ad sales and revenue management) Rohit Gupta says that the two new associate sponsors that have been signed on are white goods major Videocon Associates and the Aditya Birla Group. |
| As reported earlier, the two presenting sponsors are Reliance Infocomm and Nokia, while the associate sponsors include Pepsi, Hero Honda, Maruti, LG Electronics, Hewlett Packard, and ITC Foods. HP has taken up ad inventory only for the Champions Trophy while ITC has booked into the World Cup, Gupta clarified. |
| "We are now sold for the Champions Trophy as regards spots buys except for some spots on Extraaa Innings," Gupta asserts. "We will be keeping 10 per cent inventory till the end which we expect to sell at a premium," he adds.
