help needed....

can some1 plz tel how come the bitcommet(i think its spelled like that) doesnt work on my comp?...everytime i try to upload something .....it stop n says its an error .......any idea wat might be causing it?.....i dont even know how to use it....so if any1 know n can help me use it the right way where i can download movies n songs n get it to work right.......
