| What is Challa Lallan Hero Banney about?
It's a weekly show (Fridays 8 pm) about a guy called Lallan, who plays all the characters. If I am meeting Bachchan, I remain as Lallan, but I play Bachchan as well. In short, I play all the characters. Truly speaking, it's a one-man show. How did you land CLHB?
I hail from Chandigarh but settled in Mumbai since quite some time. I was doing voice-overs in the advertising industry. I got a call for auditions from the production house (Moving Picture Company) and the channel (SaharaOne). I had a gut feeling that I would make it. I can imitate the voices of many actors. In addition, I have made a deep study of how they walk, talk and their entire body language. It's fun. I am enjoying myself. Might get you in trouble with stars.
We are treading very cautiously. But if it has to happen, it will happen. Will you now stick to only TV?
Depends. I've acted in Family, and I do plays, also. I have worked in plays with Kumar Varma, Neelam Mansingh, Mohan Varishi. But yes, I do get tired at the end of the day, these days. Are the schedules very hectic?
I won't blame the schedules. It is not easy to play all the characters (in Lallan) and not feel drained. |
