[Few weeks later]😉

Everyone from Team B had gathered in Susan's office staring at her serious expression while she looked at her laptop😕😕. She was testing out the new software they had created together before the trial run was presented.

Vishnu whispered in Karthik's ear : "I don't know man, looking at her expression it looks like she is not happy with the work we did."

Karthik : "Well we worked day and night for this, so it better be good. Don't worry, she will approve it." 😃

Vishnu : "Her approving it is not the matter, it's the person above her who needs to approve it." 😕

Susan suddenly looked up from her laptop at everyone.😕

Ashok : "So Susan, how is it?"

Susan : "It's not bad Ashok, not bad at all."😃

Everyone let out a sigh of relief and looked at each other smiling. 😛

Susan : "Hold on guys. I just said it's not bad, but I never said it's excellent."😲

Ashok : "Why, what's wrong with it?"

Susan: "Guys this is not the best we can do. It's our first project together so it's important that we make a good first impression. Everything is fine but I know for sure they will expect something better from us. I'm going to take a look at this again, and then I'll email everyone telling what needs to be changed. I can't show this yet at the meeting, it needs to be perfect." 😕

Ashok let out a groan : "Sure whatever you say then. We will fix it." 😊

Susan : "Ok thanks guys. That's it for now. How about everyone go have their lunch and after we will continue on this?"😃

Everyone agreed and left her room.

[In the cafeteria]😛

Raji, Lakshmi, Vishnu and Karthik were going to order their food while Ashok comes up behind him.

Ashok : "Hey Raji, do you want to come out with us for lunch?" 😕

Raji paused for a second then said : "Illai, sorry Ashok, I'm going to eat here today." 😃

Ashok : "Oh come on Raji, you can eat here anytime, come let's go out for lunch."😕

Raji : "Sorry Ashok, maybe another day." 😃

Ashok started to get angry remembering what Divya had told him about Raji and Karthik taking a photo together at their desks 😈😈😈. He quickly changed expressions and said : "Fine, maybe another day" and left the place. 😃

The 4 friends grabbed their trays and found a table to sit.

Lakshmi : "Hey Raji, why didn't you go with Ashok?"

Raji : "Yein, what's wrong with that? I didn't want to go with him so I said no." 😳

Lakshmi let out a small laugh😊 while Karthik and Vishnu looked at each other. Vishnu whispered in Karthik's ear.

"You must be happy about this bro." 😆

Karthik let out a small smile and continued eating his lunch. 😃

After lunch everyone went upstairs. They all checked their emails and read what needed to be fixed in the project. Without wasting time, they quickly started working again.

It was 4 pm now and slowly everyone on the floor started leaving for home. Lakshmi shut down her computer and turned to Raji.

"Hey Raji, aren't you going home?"

Raji looking up from her screen : "Illai Lakshmi, you go ahead. I'm going to finish this today."

Lakshmi : "Raji, you can finish it tomorrow too you know."

Raji : "Yeah, I know but I'm almost finished so I might as well stay and finish it."

Lakshmi : "Fine, see you tomorrow." and left.

Vishnu : "Ok bye Karthik, I'm leaving, how about you?"

Karthik : "You go ahead I'm not done yet."

Vishnu looked at Karthik and Karthik made a face raising his eyebrows😉. Vishnu smiled to Karthik : "Okay okay" 😆and left knowing why Karthik was not leaving yet.

Within 15 minutes the entire floor was empty except for Karthik and Raji. Raji had been working very hard not realizing that Karthik was still beside her. She decided to stress her arms and pulled her hands up in the air turning her head to see Karthik.

Raji : "Oh you didn't leave yet?"

Karthik stopped typing and faced Raji.

"No, I was going to finish this tonight."

Raji smiled : "Me too, I like to finish things right away rather than pushing it to later. How long are you going to be here for?"😃

Karthik : "Not sure, maybe 15-20 minutes. Why?"

Raji : "No no I was just asking."

Karthik decided to ask her : "Do you want a ride? I can drop you off at home if you want." 😳

Raji gave him a blank look : "No, it's okay. I'm fine."😕

Karthik : "You sure?"

Raji : "Karthik, I didn't ask you for a ride did I?"

Karthik : "Well no but I was"😛

Raji : "I'm good, thanks anyways."

Raji turned around and continued working. Karthik wondered if he shouldn't have asked her that question but later continued working. About 15 minutes later, Karthik turned off his computer and left saying bye to Raji. Raji now stared at the empty space around her. Some of the lights had turned off and it was starting to get a little darker now. She looked at her watch and decided she will finish tomorrow. She shut down her laptop and went to her locker to get her bag. She was about to close her locker when she saw Ashok come walking up to her. 😊

Ashok : "Hey Raji, you're still here?"

Raji : "Yeah, I was working a bit, but I'm leaving now."

Ashok : "Oh, okay, how are you going home?"

Raji : "I'm taking the bus."😊

Ashok : "The bus? Now? It's probably crowded at this time, do you need a ride?"😕

Raji made a surprised look then quickly said.😲

"No thanks Ashok, I'm fine. I'll see you tomorrow." and left closing her locker door.

Ashok : "Ok, bye then."

Raji left Ashok in disappointment but he smirked while watching her walk down the hallway to the elevator.😈
