Chapter-5

The man moved with difficulty dragging his heavily bandaged leg using the crutch he held in his unhurt hand. He knew that his boss is going to be mad that he failed his mission. He braced himself to face his boss. This is going to be difficult.

"Did you finish the task?" His boss asked as he entered. Straight to the matter in hand he thought.

"No... they escaped- "

"THEY ESCAPED...WHAT? You are telling me that a girl and boy escaped goons like you that too in the dark of the night? Have you no shame to say this out loud? What were you doing? And don't tell me they did this to you." His boss bellowed

The goon hung his head in embarrassment. "Sorry boss. Give us one more chance. We will surely accomplish the task this time." His heart was blazing for revenge; no one shoots him and live to tell the tale. The boy is going to die a painful death in his arms and the girl; oh he has so many plans for her...

"Ok I will give you one more chance. But we are going to do this my way. Oh don't worry you can take the girl. And I will give you the boy after I am done with him. I am thinking you are starving for revenge. But if you fail again the consequences will be severe." The goon gulped. His boss was a powerful person and he knew better than to doubt on his boss's threats.

"Mr. and Mrs. Kumar...oh what have you gotten yourself into..." The boss smirked.

Nisha stirred in her sleep as the sunlight rushed through the window and fell upon her. She was oddly feeling refreshed, her hand moved to her phone to check the time. It was 8.00 am, oh she was late, but then again it was a Sunday. She was about to get up so that she could go and freshen up to make breakfast, but then she noticed that she was wrapped in someone's arm and that someone's breath was fanning her cheek. Nisha would have cried out but then her eyes caught Kabir's sleeping face and her voice died in her throat. He was looking extremely like a child in his sleep, one arm wrapped around Nisha like he was holding a pillow and the other arm curled into a fist like a child. His legs were sprawled all over the bed. His mouth was slightly open and his now long hair came out of the bandage in his head and brushed his eye brows

Nisha never noticed his face in such detail before. His every feature seemed to be magnified to her at the moment. Suddenly the alarm began to sound and Kabir stirred in his sleep. Nisha quickly reached out and grabbed the alarm to turn it off. Nisha knew that Kabir really needed rest after all the excitement last night and she understood that Kabir fell asleep accidently out of his tiredness causing them to end up like this. Last night...her mind went to the events of the previous day, the goons , her nightmare. She looked at Kabir again and silently thanked the gods for sending him to her life. Nisha tried to slowly move his hand so that she could get up without waking him. But Kabir opened his eyes only to have the shock of his life.

He was sleeping next to Nisha hugging her. He looked at Nisha with bewildered eyes, she was blushing deep red. He felt his own face growing hot. He scrambled out of the bed as fast as he could. God this is going to get awkward he thought as Nisha got out of bed.

"Ni-Nisha...I'm s-sorry...I was...it was- Kabir began fumbling with his words but Nisha interrupted." I know, it was an accident, you were tired yesterday and you accidently fell asleep while giving me the massage. I understand" Nisha said rapidly without looking at Kabir.

"Yes it was an accident...thanks for understanding yaar...and I am really sorry, it won't happen again."Kabir said running his hand through his hair trying to forget the scent of her hair which woke him up. They were saved from the awkward situation by the ringing of Kabir's phone. Kabir took his phone instantly.

"Hello. This is from the London School of Dance. Is this Mr. Kabir? Said a woman's voice.

"London School of Dance. " Nisha felt herself cringe at Kabir's words. "Yes this is Kabir."

"Mr Kabir your academic records say that your name is Kabir Singh Rathore but you have signed Kabir Kumar. Is this a mistake?"

"No No Madam. Kabir Singh Rathore is my Birth name but I go by the name Kabir Kumar and sign it too. It's a bit complicated. Is that a problem?" Asked Kabir a bit worried. Rathore! Nisha stared at Kabir, Kabir is a Rathore? What?

"Oh no Mr. Kabir, but there would be the need of verification. You need to go to our office in India, there would be a call from the office. Otherwise it's no trouble. Have a good day Mr. Kabir"

"Oh thank you Madam" Kabir cut the call and said to Nisha."Yaar now I would have to go to their office. Oh this name was always trouble for me."

However Nisha was barely listening her mind was stuck on what she just heard. Kabir was a Rathore? Like Viraj Singh Rathore ? Really? He is a Rajput? Come on how can Kabir be royal. Kabir and royal that doesn't sound right at all. She burst out laughing at her crazy thought. Kabir who had no clue about Nisha's thought stared at her puzzled.

"Nisha what happened? Have you gone mad? Why are you laughing. Oh God I was always saying that you are mad and now you have actually gone mad." Kabir said shaking his head.

"Why didn't you tell me ?" Nisha asked suddenly turning serious.

"What?" Kabir asked slightly getting the hint of where this was going.

"Why didn't you tell me that your name is Kabir Singh Rathore ? Kabir grinned nervously at her question.

"Oh that, it was a minor detail. I never use the name. I go by Kabir Kumar. It's just a name on the official records. I thought it was not important." Kabir said not meeting her eyes.

"And it has nothing to do with the fact that you have the same surname as my ex." Nisha said a little stern. "Maybe a little." Kabir said in the voice of a school boy caught in some wrongdoing."I didn't think you would find it amusing that you three month's husband got the same surname as the guy who broke your heart and honestly I rarely use the name."

Nisha felt her heart flutter at the three months but quickly got over it."But Kabir I thought we were friends, how can you not say?" Nisha asked disappointed at the fact that he didn't share something like this. Kabir was feeling guilty now." I am really sorry yaar. I honestly thought it was not important." He said holding his ears. One look at him told Nisha that he was being honest. So she slowly started grinning and asked "So you are a Rajput?"

Kabir understood where this was going. He scowled at Nisha but she continued. "Ladies and gentleman I present to you Prince Kabir" She bowed down at him. "Nisha..." He said in a warning tone. Nisha ignored him " Oh your highness what would you like for your royal breakfast?" Kabir scowled "That's it, Nisha ki bachi I will show you how a royal fight looks like." Nisha ran out of the room laughing with Kabir following her closely. Nisha was shouting " Prince Kabir" at the top of her voice. They darted around the couch in the living room. Finally just when Kabir caught hold of Nisha, they slipped and fell onto the couch. Nisha was laughing wholeheartedly. Kabir was lost, He was looking at Nisha as if he was seeing her for the first time. Her laughter, she was looking more beautiful to him than he ever saw her. Her childish innocence left him in awe of her. He snapped out of his trance at Nisha's words

"I'm so sorry your highness" She said getting up still laughing at him. Kabir scowled at her again "Come on yaar don't call me that. I don't like it. Besides it makes me think that I am related to Bade bhaiyya and who wants to be related to him, he is so strict and up tight. And I am only half a Rajput allright."

"oooh I smell a story. Tell me na please" Nisha asked excitedly. Kabir looked at her with the scowl. She folded her arms and said " Pretty please" and she smiled innocently.

"I can't believe you are using my technique on me. Fine I will tell you the story." Nisha clapped her hands delightfully." But." Kabir continued "only after freshening up and having breakfast. Kabir pushed Nisha who was standing with a pleading look clearly wanting to hear the story now itself towards their room."Kabir yaar please". Nisha pleaded "its Sunday yaar we have got the whole day for the story go freshen up" Kabir said laughing at her childishness

i think this ff is taking me a long way...i dont see it ending soon😆...hope you guys wont be bored out with this😳...it will take a fast pace soon...and thank u to all the lovely ppl for the nice comnts😃
