So here it goes:
CHAPTER 1
She was sleeping peacefully ,unaware of his intense gaze upon her.It was a full moon night and the moonlight streaming through the window pane lightened up her face.She looked calm and from her regular breathing he understood that she was deep asleep.It has been almost 3 months since they married-exactly saying -2 months and 3 weeks.
"One more week ...just one more week and then their contract marriage would come to an end. But he can't wait for that.It was time for him to leave...to leave her...forever. He tried to enjoy his last few moments with her...moments that he will remember for a lifetime...moments that would bring joy and pain to him.
"It is all over Nisha.Our marriage,and everything that came along with it...the special moments ,the cute fights,the romantic falls,the intense eyelocks ,the zany conversations...everything that came along with the marriage is going to reach a dead end.We, are over nisha".He said softly ,his voice cracking .She was still sleeping deeply ,unaware of his thoughts and decisions. He looked at her with deep concern."Does she know that we are parting ways...that we are destined to be friends...only friends...nothing more...nothing less..??Could she feel the same pain that is gripping my heart right now???...pain that knows no reasons...pain that knows no understanding...pain that crushes u like a thousand arrows piercing u from all possible directions..."
"No.She doesn't know that pain. She had once experienced this pain when she lost her 1st love.Forher are just a friend, Kabir.After all theirs was a contract marriage...how can I expect her to love him??"
He looked at her and saw the sides of her lips curve slightly to form a smile...the most beautiful thing he had ever seen...Usually even her slightest smile gave him immeasurable joy.It meant the world to him.But today it gave him pain...because he knew that he won't be able to see this smile again.He closed his eyes and tried to shut out her smiling face .But his mind was flooded with her image...the priceless moments that they shared .He slowly opened his eyes and looked at her...teary eyed...as if he was trying to study all those tiny features ,the minute details of her face.He let his hands run over her face...her cheeks,her eyebrows,her soft ,pink lips...ever so gently such that she might not be disturbed. He thanked god that she was sleeping...that her eyes were closed or else she would have understood that something was troubling him.That was what made them unique.They could communicate through their eyes...no words were required...silence as their only companion.
He could hear the clock ticking in the darkness.It was time for him to go.But he badly wanted to stay with Nisha...for 1 last time,he wanted to watch her smile,wanted to look at her eyes,wanted to play with her locks,...he wanted to steal 1 more night with her in his arms...sleeping peacefully.But he couldn't afford to do so.He had been lying to her for so many days about his feelings...that they were only friends,trying to convince himself the truth...but no...he can't lie anymore...it was becoming unbearable for him.
He gently took off his hands from her shoulders ,got up and packed his bag.He went to the study ,opened the drawer and took out one of her photos and placed it in his wallet.He left a letter addressed to nisha on the table and placed a yellow rose beside it.
He carried his bag on his shoulders and walked towards the bed .He knelt on the ground and kissed her forehead and whispered in her ear through all her hair:"I love u Nisha; and I'll love u...forever".As he said so she smiled ever so lightly...because of the tingling sensation she felt due to her hair brushing her cheeks. He waited for another minute and then got up and walked towards the door
He opened the door, turned back and looked at her sleeping face for one last time ...He closed the door and walked through the darkness...his heart weighed down by the heaviness of his sorrows, his head throbbing with pain, seeking answers to the innumerable, unanswerable questions his mind was asking...
Okay so how was it??
