EXCLUSIVE! Mishkat Verma: My role in Nisha Aur Uske Cousins in not a cameo
Ever since the actor has made an entry in the Star Plus show - there is buzz in the online sector among fans - some who want him and many who don't
A while ago I put up a poll asking fans who they wish to see opposite Nisha (Aneri Vajani) - Viraj (Tahir Shabbir) or Kabir (Mishkat Verma). Thousands of people voted for Viraj, but Kabir's supporters were not far behind. At a recent party, I bumped into Mishkat and asked him about his future in Nisha Aur Uske Cousins. He said, "The response to my character has been great and I am loving every bit of it. I have just entered the show, I am not bothered whether it is Viraj or Kabir who ends up with Nisha. My role in the show was never a cameo; I wouldn't have taken up such a show. I decided to do Nisha Aur Uske Cousins because of the script, my character and the storyline. I am here to stay and will be a part of the show till it ends."
Clearly, that settled me so what is next for Kabir? "There are a lot of high points and twists in the show waiting to happen, but I cannot reveal what will happen next. As for my character, he is right now very carefree and chilled out in life, but eventually he has to become responsible. Trust me there is only so much I can say now," said Mishkat.
So how was it working with a crazy and high on energy group after working with senior actors in Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya? "They are a crazy bunch on Nisha Aur Uske Cousins; Aneri is a wacko and a lot of fun to work with. Everyone is highly energetic, they all keep joking on the sets and I've had a great time in the two weeks I have been on board," concluded Mishkat.
