I don't know how this actor got the role of the ML. What was the casting director thinking? Every other actor, even one with supporting ones like Abhimanyu's masi, Tunne,Dumri, Sweety, Rekha etc are good actors.
In my honest opinion, this actor simply fails to emote. There are scenes where the characters talk about his future wife but he fails to emote accordingly. The scene where he jokes about having fallen in love with Nimki was unbelievably bad. He is good with his,' goli mar dunga' dialogue alone.
My problem with Nimki is not that she fails to understand the profound dislike Tettar's family has for her but the fact that she is a hypocrite. Its not that she is always like that.Despite of Abhimanyu helping them all the time, she doesn't allow him or his maasi to misbehave with her or her father. She didnt think twice to reject the groom because he didnt have a toilet in his home and didnt shy away from showing them their place. For Dumri chachi, she understands all her tricks and replies accordingly. For Nahar Singh, she doesnt shy away from.calling spade a spade although Nahar singh have helped her father unlike Tettar singh.However, when it is Anaro and Babboo she simply ignores their hate, their crimes and happily behaves as if nothing happened. Why was she asking Anaro to v ote for her when they have a candidate alresdy ? What was the purpose to give her the pamphlet ?This is not even ignorance. Its a bit of stupidity covered with greed and desperation.
