banner is the long image u see in the top of a forum .there are banner contest conducted in each forum and the winning banner is put up.
its abt 720x40 pixel in size.

siggies is short of signature and its the pic tht appears under our post (mine is maaneet sig) .u can upload a siggie for urself.

avatar is the animated /noon animated pic we use.
mine has a writing dafodils.dudu on it.
hope u understand. if not i shall explain :)

here the answers to ur questions

1)PM =private messenger.
its just like ur mail box . u can send mesages to people on IF privately.
just to make u familiar with the PM thing i shall PM u.

2)OS - i guesss OS is one shot. ,precicely its just a short story /scene written by a fan on his/her favorite serial actors.

3)a new thread mean u can create ur own topics instead of posting in others topics.
