Hi Madhura!!!!
First of all, Hash, Bach Gayi!!! 😆 Since I tend to get a bit biased when it comes to Piya and you don't like comparison between Nazar and Jinn, I was kind of thinking that you would find me being immature and a total fangirl. 🤪
Now about my view, I think it totally varies from person to person that what do they call 'GOOD ACTING' or 'SIZZLING CHEMISTRY'. There are many native shows which both me and my mom have enjoyed to the core. But while I have cried buckets (literally) over some American Show Characters and were all praises for the actor/actress; many times my mom found them robotic. 😲 Can't totally blame her. 🤔 We are mostly accustomed to heavy rona-dhona when it comes to expressing our feelings generally in Indian Subcontinent.
Which is why I had never really drawn a comparison between the actors here. My comparison is strictly between PiyAnsh and RoshAn.
Personally, I can connect to PiyAnsh but not to RoshAn. Now I have had my share of discussion with you and Magic and few other people. Everyone said the same - since both the genres are different we can't compare between the intensity. Nazar is dark but Jinn is light. Fair enough. People can definitely choose a light, more innocent couple over a couple who have always had darkness looming over their head.
But talking about intensity and calling PiyAnsh 'Dhak Dhak' honestly enraged me. If breathing nervously is Dhak Dhak then kindly enlighten me on cute crying and wiping someone's cheek with your own or hair spa out of nowhere.
There are hundreds of sequences of PiyAnsh also which I found funny. Don't kill me for saying this but after today's argument I actually tried to watch the neck kissing scene, at least the first part. Yeah, it was dramatic. But that's true for Jinn also. The scene where Aman was chained and Roshni came, the way she was lying - I was like - Itna Accha Aur Artistically Kaun Girta Hain!!!
Even then I would let go off it. But saying PiyAnsh aren't intense and RoshAn falls under the category of Arnav-Khushi or PaRud or JenShad (I don't know their reel name) - that's plain absurd.
Personally, I don't even find Barun Sobti a good actor. I strictly believe it was his uber hotness that captured the girls heart and Khushi was given more SS which Sanaya portrayed brilliantly. Till this day, I haven't come across any other actress who can portray chirpiness without being OTT like she did. JenShad have been there for ages and have evolved. Try watching their initial shows, you would either die laughing or applaud them for improving so much. Same goes for PaRud.
But as much as talented Vikram is, he doesn't fall under that category. I have seen both Shravan and KP doing thousand times better than him in intense scenes, specially KP. Yes, Vikram is better than many of his contemporaries but not the best. Niyati has her weaknesses but so does Aditi. Considering it's her 2nd show, Niyati was lakh times better in YMMKD if we judge based on experience.
And then again, back to square one, in Nazar we only knew a Daivik comes for Davansh. But it had two open ending - she could either help him retaining his goodness. Or probably she would destroy him to protect mankind. We didn't know for sure what could have happened. Ved was insisting on getting Ansh married to Piya but Divya was strictly against it. Which made me confused that how could a Reevavanshi go against Goddess's wish. Is it possible that Daivik comes to contain Davansh's energy and protect mankind which doesn't necessarily mean uniting with him? Yes, I had many such assumptions. Ansh wasn't planning anything. He was drawn towards Piya and in each of his waking moment he fought his instincts so that she didn't get hurt.
But here we have Aman, who can't literally use his hands and has to use magic for everything. Who has a deadline to fall in love if he has to get saved and Roshni who has conveniently forgotten everything including the part where she is under great danger and is eating noodles from her hair.
If this pair is intense and better actors, then I choose and will always choose my Dhak Dhak Karne Laga PiyAnsh rather than becoming iconic which practically doesn't make any sense.
