Shweta Tiwari to tie the knot on July 13
TV actor and Abhinav Kohli plan a lavish wedding that will take place in Mumbai and Bengaluru
TV star Shweta Tiwari, whose divorce (with Raja Choudhary) came through in October 2012, will get married to her boyfriend of more than three years, Abhinav Kohli, on July 13.
On July 11, the mehendi ceremony will take place in Shweta's Mumbai house, in the presence of close friends and family. A lavish sangeet on July 12 and the wedding, the next day, will be held at a city five-star hotel. Since Abhinav is from Bengaluru, the reception will be organised there on July 17.
"I'm very excited about the rituals. I might not be part of all that fun, but I am still excited," says the bride-to-be, who is visibly on the top of the world. "There is this surety that is very important to me. I'm sure of Abhinav and the both of us, which is what makes me happy."
Meanwhile, Abhinav is equally thrilled. He says, "I was talking to my mother-in-law and she sounded so excited. It will be a lot of fun for everyone."

From page 01 Talking about the new phase in her life, Shweta says, "Right now, I am feeling stressed (laughs). I was telling him, 'Can't we get married when I'm free and don't have so much work?' to which he said, 'There's never going to be a time when you won't have work, so let's simply go ahead'."
Shweta TiwariAbhinav, on his part says, "She wanted me to postpone the wedding by a month."
He adds, "Palak's (Shweta's daughter) been rehearsing for the sangeet. She is ready with her outfits, and has given us the list of the friends who she wants to invite, even before we could make ours. Shweta hasn't told me much about her outfits though. These days she's talking a lot more with my mother than with me," he says.
Busy with her TV show Parvarrish and Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa (JDJ), Shweta's doesn't have much time for co-ordination. Talking about her trousseau, she says, "For sangeet, I will wear an anarkali. For the wedding, I will wear a traditional shaadi ka joda which will be in red and gold perhaps. For the reception it might be a toss up between suit and sari. Abhinav adds, "I will be wearing a sherwani that's designed a US designer and an Italian suit for the reception."
However, there won't be a honeymoon for the couple. "Tony and Deeya (producers of Parvarrish) have given me 10-12 days leave. I can't ask for more. Abhinav doesn't want to take off for four days only; he wants a break of 15 days at least, so we will plan that later."
