It is known that Barkha Bisht has replaced Rupali Ganguly in the leap phase of Sony Entertainment Television's parenting show Parvarrish - Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi.

Now, we have come to gather that before Barkha was finalised for the role of Pinky, the production house, DJ's A Creative Unit had first shortlisted Shilpa Shinde who had earlier quit SAB TV's Chidiya Ghar, among several other actresses, to play the character of Pinky. Not only that, even Shweta Tiwari who plays Pinky's sister Sweety was also pushing for Shilpa who first came into prominence with her role as Soni in Maayka.

However, it is heard that Vishal Singh who plays Pinky's husband Jeet inParvarrish was not comfortable with Shilpa as they had apparently dated a couple of times before. The two had worked together earlier in a DD show Adhura Bandhan.

When we asked Shilpa to elaborate on this, she averred, "I had a crush on Vishal since his Dekh Bhai Dekh days, but we never dated. People started talking about us since we were good friends in the course of the show. I had auditioned forParvarrish and was selected; we even talked money. I was ready to do the same, but somehow they never got back."

However, she hastened to add that she had no idea that "Vishal was unhappy with her possible selection."

When we contacted Vishal, he laughed at the whole affair saying, "We are mere actors and casting decisions are taken by the channel. Why should I have any problem with Shilpa; we have worked together?"
