Happy to know that Nimmi's grandfather is better now n yea I know that Arjun had four wives n Subhadra was his favourite n dearest among them

Hey Its a nice post. Yes Arjuna had 4 wives & among all Subhadra was his favourite.. But the fact is The Mahabharata is a huge epic & those who have watched the earlier TV version of it would know that all four marriages of Arjuna was not shown.. Its only the Draupadi swayamvar & his marriage with his "Runaway Bride" Subhadra that was highlighted & shown.

It is also said that among all his wives he had a love marriage that too an adventurous one with Subhadra.. Hence she was his favourite & also most loved by him..

Another information is Draupadi who loved Arjuna the most due to the obvious reason that he won her at the swayamvar was Angry when she got to know about Arjuna kidnapping Subhadra to marry her.

Thanks for all your views and comments...

I can see that almost everyone here wants Somya to play Subhadra...

We, i.e, me and Naina, don't!

Subhadra of course was Arjun's favourite and most loved by him...

but there was no other side of her character apart from this...She was divine and very loving but not strong...

We must keep in mind that this role is a side role, she was always mostly regarded as Krishna's sister...

Subhadra was significant only in Arjun's life and...not Mahabharat...

Somya in no way deserves this character...

She deserves much much more than this...

She deserves characters which are centric, strong and have a certain depth in them...

This role will be great for Vinita, Farhina or actors like them who haven't had the opportunity to play a lead yet...

But not Somya...After playing the title lead role in a Star Plus show, i don't want her to go backwards in her carrier and play a side role...

For instance, take Sukirti Khandpal, the very famous Riddhima of DMG and then Piya of PKYEK...

Somewhere in between she also played the character of Siddheswari in Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo...now, even if it was a side role, the role had great potential! Her acting abilities were noted in this character and she was appreciated for it! After that she bagged the role of Piya...It was a successful show and a well written character...

But now...Don't really know what made her sign Rab Se Sona Ishq!...

Lets consider her role even after being a side role...her role is not strong enough and not all that significant in the show...

This makes most of us think that she took up the role just for working!...

This is not at all meant to offend Sukirti or any of her fans...She must've had a good reason to take up the character...but as of now the reason is not known to me...

We want Somya to rise and play strong characters by which she'll be able to make a mark as an actress...

It'll take time as of now...

But we only wish the best for her!

Just because Shaheer and Somya look good together, they cant sacrifice their carriers by playing faint roles opposite each other...just for the sake of being together...

I respect all yours point of views...

But sorry don't agree with them...

I am guessing its Tamanna who is making the post. Tamanna, whoever plays the character of Subhadra will have a 1 or two epi screen space.. It would be a cameo. If you ask me I would say since its a cameo, it would be nice if Somya could devote a few days & do it. Ofcourse she would know too that the character doesnt have shades & is a cameo & I dont think that should be a problem. If you remember all big stars have done cameos in films & that is not bad at all.. In fact it adds to their popularity. So if Somya plays Subhadra & does a cameo, It would only increase her popularity. Having said that I Also say that the Subhadra episode comes much later in the epic & I am sure till then Somya would also sign & be a part of some other show as a lead. So I dont think she would mind doing a cameo for Mahabharata.. But ofcourse that would only happen if she finds time to do a cameo from her schedule.

yes...that would be nice...

my actual objection was to the fact that people want Somya as Subhadra only because they want to see her with Shaheer...not because they have any opinion about the character or anything...

They want her only as Subhadra...people are expecting her not to take up any show and do Mahabharat and wait till the Subhadra track comes...

Now that is really childish...

Working in her own show and alongside coming in for a cameo is fine...

But telling her to wait till she becomes Subhadra, telling her to say no to all the main roles for this character...is really unreasonable!

She cant sacrifice good offers and everything just to be paired opposite Shaheer...

That is why I mentioned everything above...

Other than this point I agree with you!

i am totally agree with u tammana...subhadra was arjun's fav wife but never a central character..if they show subhadra it ll b a chameo.. kaash somya was offered Draupadi...we get back our SHAMYA.
