Hello StarPlus,
I am USA viewer, a proffessional, Mom- in my 30s.
Current Indian Tv was too off for me, & we subscribed to it only for our visiting parents .. and used to take a look at times alongwith my mom. Thats when I caught Navya's promo last spring! And there was some freshness, something to them -that caught me right away.
Started watching it with first episode & felt instant connect with all the characters of the show! Fantastic casting, fresh faces with perfect chemisrty & truely relatable concept - made a perfect watch for me! & I didn't even realize when this show beacme much more than a show to me!
Growing up - college days were reflected so beautifully in Navya. The whole journey of this young couple is beautifully captured! Many of us could relate to it right away!
Sub-dramas of families: I can relate to those too- as mine too is a lovemarraige in a very traditional family!
Every moment every phase of Anant & Navya was very realisticlly potrayed! With subtle drama - that captured the audiences. -- viewers of all ages got attached to this show like none other!
At this point, this show is at a new positive juncture - Where real life of Navya & Anant is starting! We would love to see their journey onwards -how they manage between paramparaa & practicality!
Navya is SP's freshest Bahu - with much more challenges that any of your other ones! This story has many many more subplots which we viewers would like to see develope! Be it Nimisha-Nikhil, Rama-Mohan & Renu-Gautam's stories; Buadadi's rule reasons or Chcha's withdrawn nature! there is so much more potential to this!
And you have biggest USP of this show : chemistry between Anant & Navya -- how they will togather bring the change can be the most relevant upcoming track -- compared to your other shows!
Please do consider your decisions- & make wise decision keeping in mind user response! This show has good TRPps, better potential - then why not give it a try? You also need to check your newer shows TRPs - which are way below! And check your really old shows -which are just going in circles with same old-same old! People get tired of seeing it!
You have received many many user requests - please act upon it!
#savenavya for primetime slot! We promise: you'll be glad you did!
Regards,
Shaina

Hello Star Plus,

I am a viewer from the US, and have been living here for many, many years. In all this time, I have only watched superb American TV shows. Indian soaps, whenever I got to see them, (when I visited India), never interested me, since all they were focussed on was crappy saas-bahu politics. Disgusted would be putting it mildly at what I felt at watching the quality of modern Indian soaps. Gone were those days golden days of Fauji, Rajni, Buniyaad, Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi, Malgudi Days etc. etc. when Indian TV (DD) showed really classy shows.

In the boat load of disgusting shows that are being offered on Indian television today, there comes along a show called Navya, whose promos caught my eye from day one. Loved the guy instantly who said, "If making a public display of affection is considered cool, then I am so glad that I am NOT so cool." Loved the chirpy girl on the screen who said, "I am not too happy to be back home by 7 as I am not allowed to stay out late, but I love my papa since he knows so much more." The promos were breathtaking when they talked about respecting age old traditions and balancing them with modern sensibilities. Those promos drew me like no other show had in recent memory.

I switched on the TV on Apr 4th at 10 PM to catch the first show, and was I pleased. I related instantly to that girl on the screen. I too looked a lot like her when I was that age, I too grew up in a big city with strict but loving parents. It was as if I was watching a flashback of my own college days. Parents worrying, whether I will be able to maintain my traditional values amidst an onslaught of modern ideas, which I laugh at today, since modern ideas for those days seem quite traditional today.

Navya became a part of my life from then on. Haven't missed a show since day 1. And now what do I get to hear last week, Navya is going to be axed?!?!?!? Excuse me, said I. Did I hear that right? They want to axe the ONLY realistic show that I could relate to and watched religiously and had become a part of my life for the past nine months? Common, the show had just begun, there was so much to show. AnYa's married life, how Navya reforms the loonies, Renu's divorce, Mohan's marriage issues, Nimmi;s wedding to name a few. How can you guys end a show so good, mid-stream??

Star Plus, I am not sure, what prompted your decision, but let me tell you are making one monumental mistake here in axing the only show in your repertoire that actually follows your tag line of, Rishta Wohi, Soch Nayi. None of your other shows have remotely shown ANY Nayi Soch.

Please reconsider your decision and decide to keep Navya. It is just not me, but thousands of viewers who relate to this show. Please do change your mind and show some Nayi Soch.

Regards,
Geeta

@ Ujjaini, thanks a bunch hun for offering to take these messages to SP. 🤗 We can try all avenues, let's see if any of this works out.

Hello StarPlus,
I would like to start of with saying you are the most rude, meaning, ignorant & jerky channel I have ever faced. You have terrible phone chowkidaars who talked so rudely to me, so pls hire people that can actually attend to their customers & viewers properly!!! The only reason why I am tolerating your nonsense is for Navya. Navya isnt a show! Its our life. We eat breathe sleep Navya. Yeah sure its a show, and shows/good things must come to an end blah blah but our life has only consisted of 9 months and you want to axe that now! I mean I want to ask you, what is a good reason for you to axe Navya?IF we talk in terms on TRPs, OK, they havent been exactly as good as gopi bahu but has never ever gone under 1.9 that too for a YOUTH show, the only youth show currently on the main TRP leading channels. Now, the TRPs are ranked in the TOP 15! You have like what 8-10 shows running? You cannot seriously expect all of them to be in the TOP 10, I mean thats ridiculous! So TRPs is a total unvalid reason. Next, storyline/actors yatta yatta, I mean this is the BEST part of the show! Shaheer Sheikh & Soumya Seth are 2 gems that were found for your channel & you are so lucky to have them! Navya is a storyline which everyone in my house can relate to! I can relate to Anant Navya, my mother can relate to their parents. and heck, my grandma can relate to Navyas grandma too! I mean a show that engages with all ages, what more does a channel want? Shaheer & Soumya as Anant & Navya have MINGBOGGLING chemistry! Their pure, innocent & sweet love is a treat to watch! SP, you cannot have witnessed such adorable chemistry in the history of ur shows without hardly any physical or intamacy! What more do you want!!!! Now, regarding the fanbase, do I actually need to even talk about this or are u people blind & deaf! #SAVENAVYA campgain is one of the biggest trending topics in India! Has any show done that & shown so much dedication towards a show! I mean people didnt eat or sleep cus they were too busy tweeting to save the show! It has one of the biggest fan pages among all the shows. Its a tremendous fanbase & nobody is giving up till Feb 13th, 2012 for this show! My point is Anant & Navya's journey to bring the nayi soch has just starte Naitik who have been going on for 3 long dragging years & have no story yet, hence the munna/munni which is stupid! If you wanna bring Sajda so badly, then go ahead but replace the RIGHT show. I have nothing against Sajda at all, but I hate the fact that Navya was the show being chosen among all the saas bahu crap ur showcasing on ur channel! So please SP, for the millionth time, I plead to you, please save navya! Its the best show on your channel & deserves to stay longer cause Anant & Navya still have to bring in the nayi soch in the world! Respect the mililons of fans & their wishes. Also keep one thing in mind, NO NAVYA=NO STARPLUS. We will make Sony's show Kya Hua Tera Vada the biggest hit of life, infact why that show, i say every show on Sony & all the other channels that you will be having to battle against Sahara One! LOL You dont want that happening now do you? I really dont like giving dhamkis but kya karron, Navya is my baby and a lion fights for her cubs till the end. Save Navya or Kill your own channel! Thanks & hope to hear the good news soon! P,S. Pls unblock everyone from ur twitter. It wont help cause ill just keep making more accounts so dont try to think ur smart! ALSO I have the abilty with my draamebaazi to convince that watching Suraj make mithai can cause diabetes & Gopi crying can cause rabies(which we all know is a daily routine for her) to all the regular watchers. I also know how to swear in 4 different languages & you dont wanna get insulted that much, hai na? I can also find many ways to somehow dammage your office, trust me, I can do it, Its not that hard. (= Dont try to find me if I do cause Jenny ko dhoondna, mushkil hi nahi, naa mumkin hai. LOL Enough with my filmy lines. lets just get this straight you give us Navya, and I wont hurt you in any physical or emtional(my speciality) way. Lovee you peeps =D This is marathi mulgi signing off from Canada.Take care!!

Sincerely.
Jennifer

@Ujjaini Thank you so much babes! Cant tell u enough how much ur efforts mean!! You are truly a darling 🤗 Best of luck to go to their office!!

Hello Star Plus,
I am an NRI ,and an impassioned fan of the distinctive show, Navya. The promos ,that hit the telly- screens, intrigued me, and, although my preferences lay mainly with, English sitcoms, I resolved to watch the serial.
The first episode itself blew me away, and, then, there was no looking back..It catered aptly to the tagline, "Nayi Soch"
I, ( and, many viewers like me), could relate to, all the minuscule details ,depicted in the show, as it was so, veracious .To add to it, ...it is a perfect amalgamation of traditional, and ,modern values.
Things were placid ,when, out of the blue, we are hit by a thunderbolt ... the news that, Navya will bid adieu, soon.
I am flummoxed ,as this comes at a time, when everything is effervescent ( the TRPs are, gratifying) .You owe us a plausible reply to our query regarding the genesis for such an atrocious decision.
It is imprudent, to lead the serial to its grave, when the story has sprung up.. As viewers, we are agog to perceive, how Navya embarks upon her journey , striking a balance, post- marriage..
It is, an earnest plea, from one of the many fans ,of this coruscating show, to please give it a thought ,and ,refrain from, committing a blunder.
I hope, our voices will be heard, ..
Regards,
Aanchal

Hello Starplus,

I am a viewer residing in USA. I have never watched any Indian TV show since I moved to this country. I started watching Navya, a show that I happened to come across 4 months after the show started. I went back and caught up from the beginning. I appreciated how it was different from all the other shows on Indian TV-whether it was the sweet love story, the family relationship of the Mishras or the wonderful friendship shared between the youngsters!

I understand that shows need to end when its time. But Navya was just picking up and had a lot of potential-but you decided to nip it in the bud. What has been a bigger disappointment is your treatment of this entire situation. You have blatantly disregarded the viewers' views, taken them for granted and simply insulted their sensibilities!!!

Kindly redeem yourself and give us viewers what we have been asking for...give Navya the show a chance to bloom and really prove that it infact is a different show, that has touched so many hearts!

Soumya

Hello Star Plus,

I am Anjali from the USA and let me start by saying that I was once upon a time an ardent Indian TV viewer but I took a forced sabbatical from Indian TV because of the purani soch it continued to show. The world is not limited to saas/bahu sagas. In the name of entertainment your channel continued the forlorn stories of women first enduring and then enduring more to abet in the last episode of the show!
But April 4th was a turning point. Navya looked different. The story looked disparate. Navya and Anant were one of US, the youth of today. Navya has a facet of every young girl. She wears clothes like we do. She has family as sweet as ours. She has friends, that we have always had and she has Anant, who is a dream come true. There is no other show, we the youth can relate to. Star plus has shows going on for eons now and they are so redundant. It is stagnating the soch of junta You can jump and leap the story, doesnt matter, the charm is already lost from them.
The tag line, rishta wahi, soch nayi, are just words until you actually implement them. Yes you have to cater to a wide range of audience, but where does the today's youth fit in this whole picture? I am a mother in my 30s, my mom is in her 60s and I have cousins, nieces, nephews in their teens. We all love Navya. It is a show where the the leads are surreal.
It has a youthful vigor to it. It has emotions each one of us can identify with. This show has some of the best actors Soumya Seth, Kshitee Jog, Shaheer Sheikh, to name a few. They act with such finesee that when they smile, we smile; when they cry, we cry; when they laugh, we laugh! I want to see Anant and Navya's happily ever after. How they balance their life between traditions and modernity. I want the story to establish the fact that post marriage love is not lost between family traditions and world pressures. I want to see a topic like divorce given due respect and tactfully handled. I want to see how Mohan and Rama deal with their marital woes. The show raised many questions rightfully, I need them answered now. It hit me like thunderbolt when I heard Navya is ending. If at all, the story has just begun, why this halt then?

Please #SaveNavya! That is the slogan the youth is saying, tweeting, liking, blogging and talking about. Its a sincere request, we want to see more of Mrs and Mr Bajpayee and how they bring in the metamorphosis of some antiquated thinking. We want Anant and Navya to maintain the rishta and usher in the nayi soch!

Please Save Navya!

Thank You,
Anjali

@Ujjaini, You are awesome. thanks so much for doing this!

Thanks Ujj for the iniaitive

Hello I am from Canada, a mother in late 20s and a professional.

Navya to me means a lot. I did not watch any Indian soaps even though I am born and brought up in Mumbai. Living in Juhu I have seen many stars all the time and did not have the craze to watch any soap. But watching Navya promo changed it for me coz it related so much to me.
Everything from Navya, the college days to marriage was me. I relived all those days and the memories.

I relived the close friends that I had and still have. I relived my strict but kind parents. I relived my grandma's who were constantly on my case but loved me a lot. I relived everyhting. And then the marriage was just like mine. Everything of Navya from her age to the amount of people that were invited brought back memoreis for me. As I am a Catholic the rituals were different for me than that of Navya but the feelings, emotions, the joy and sadness were the same.

Navya has a lot to offer and many social causes were touched on. Like Gautam's infidelity, Renu's helplessness, Deepu losing his job, Bajyapees marriage demands, Nimmi getting stifled in that house, Mohan feeling useless, etc.

Navya shows us a girl raised in Mumbai and having values just like me. It is uncanny how much we are in like in many ways and I sincerely request you not to end it. It has affected many of us in different ways.

Navya to many of us is an excellent stress buster. We come home to watch ANYA going thru their college life and get happy. It makes us feel happy.

Navya has a lot of fan followers in the youth, the young and the old. Navya's TRP's are rising and axing it at this point does not seem a wise choice.

I cannot believe that Navya is going to end and earnestly implore for you to reconsider your decision.

Thanks for your time

#SaveNavya
