Being a writer of a FF myself, I thought I should say something about your note. As writers, we don't write with the sole intention to receive reviews/raves/rants about our work of fiction. We write cause we enjoy writing. If people write nice stuff about the story we've written, then its like an incentive, and it only motivates us to keep writing. If you're writing a fic JUST to receive reviews/raves/rants, then there's no point in writing. Writing is a work of pure creativity, and we shouldn't care about people's responses, cause we're just releasing our creative juices when we write. As I said earlier, the responses/raves/rants we get is what motivates us. It shouldn't be the sole reason to write something.
