Hola Tanu😊...a lackluster episode, but your post added some sheen to it...a brilliant take on the Deepak-Baba convo by you...
So, here's me, after skimming through 9 pages of comments, absolutely confused as to where things are headed as far as this whole shaadi drama is concerned...just one whole episode, dedicated to Deepak's questionnaire...and funny it was, sequentially speaking...
1) Deepak poses question...2) Meeta gives him a "why the hell did u have 2 ask this question" kinda look, accompanied by the quivering or movement of her lower lips...3)Navya's Dadi gives her son a, ''i must have done something great to have a son like you" kinda look...4) Camera zoom...CSB oogles...5) Om gives his 'eyes turned to slits' and 'how dare you?' kinda look to Deepak...6) BD gives a dismissing nod, in her HOMP style...7) Mohan's shocked expression pretty much suggesting, " Mr.Mishra, this is just not the right way to go about things, as far as my family is concerned "...8)Zoom focus, Dukhi Aatmas 1 and 2, with the trademark dukhi expression plastered to their faces and looking sideways at CSB and Om...
The above mentioned sequence, just went about, on and on like a cycle...twice, thrice, infinite times..my head went into a fuzzy mode, "uh oh, not the zoom zoom again "...Among the elders, only Sanju Chachu's face was spared by the lens...What was the necessity to show everyone's reaction? That is exactly what turned this episode into a drag-fest...
Coming over to the performances, Deepak was the only saving grace of this episode...A Father's worry, very well enacted...even the tone of his voice was very commendable, somewhere bordering between reluctance and bravado...one of his lines, that really impressed me was, "main yeh to nahi keh raha hoon ki har badlaav sahi hai, main to sirf yehi keh raha hoon ki hum us badlaav ko rok nahi sakte"...that CSB refused to buy this statement is another thing...
Talking about CSB...did anyone feel he commited a blunder yesterday?? ( assuming that the shaadi will take place)... A Smart player he is, no doubt...but he's given Deepak, a taste of what his daughter can expect, when she becomes a Bajpai bahu...Deepak could get the drift of CSB's layered talks and he's already in his guard...can he make Navya understand and help her see sense?? Though he can, i'm afraid he'll have to accept defeat in the face of Navya's endless love for Anant...one more thing that really took me surprise was, din't Dadi Sab Samjhe spot even a single thing weird in the Bajpais?? So much so that she took CSB's statement of, " tumhe bharose karna padega hum par", pretty seriously... eh??😕...after Meeta ma, is it Dadi next in the line for some character assassination??
As for the kids, Rama and Renu...not much of screen space for them yesterday...so, zero opinions there...although Renu's, " aapke pati toh bahut samajdhar hai" bit to Rama might come under scanner...we might soon have an investigation session -part 2 by Rama...
Thats it from my side, as far as yesterday's episode goes...and as for the show, i shall comment at a later time...just one thing i'd like to add though...the show does not fail in its intention but in its execution...opening two or three tracks at a time is acceptable...but giving rise to many issues at the same time and leaving many loose threads hanging midway does not make for a pleasurable viewing either...
