I agree that Anant said his lines really innocently, but I am sure Shaheer could have done justice to something deeper like what you've written. I personally found the on-screen shayari quite bland, but I agree that it suited the situation (written by a 19-year old in love).

I do agree though, Anant's poem was also sweet and perfectly written to convey his feelings for Navya... A lot of people say Anant isn't going to be a poet anytime soon, but I think it's the slight amateurity of the shayari that makes it perfect because it didn't need to be a grand gesture to show Navya his love for her, but it was simple and sweet (:
