I liked it how they showed both Anant and Navya picking on their food and Anant going as far as writing an N on his plate with the gravy :-) Anant wants to call Navya is constantly looking at his phone but is dabaaoing CSB's feet instead. And when CSB FINALLY dozes off after 1 hour, he rushes to call Navya, but backs off at the last minute. I also liked Navya's anxious pacing around as she waited for Anant's phone call, somewhere wildly hoping that he would call her back to tell her that everything is all right. And her apparent disappointment cum relief when Ritz calls to check on her.
The next morning in college: I too am glad that they didn't stretch out Appy being mad on Navya too long. But like you said, I didn't like it that they did it in classroom, in front of the professor of all places. It was preposterous with a capital "P". Navya's rona-dhona in the classroom had already established her as a cry baby. And today when the three ladies burst into tears and started hugging each other in front of the entire class, I was like woah! 😕 Yeh kya ho raha hai ... It was a the-earth-should-swallow-me-on-the-spot moment!!!! Anant telling Navya to leave was again not needed. Thank God the professor had enough sense to turn everyone out of the class. At least he spoke like what a professor should! Navya's crying queen act must've put Anant under a tremendous pressure as well. She is leaving absolutely no stone unturned to make the entire world and its brother know that something is brewing between her and some guy with her incessant crying in class. I am not sure I liked this part.
Ritz blaming Anant was errrm ... not required, but understandable. Her best friend is nursing a broken heart and all her myopic vision can see is that the guy is at fault for breaking her friend's heart. Right now everyone's emotions are high. So someone is going to get the blame. Surely it won't be Navya because Anant was the one to take the first step back. I am pretty sure that since Navya hasn't thought through the family situation, she is not worried about how she would've reacted had her parents arranged for her to get married, unlike Anant. Therefore he has all my sympathy for now. He was honest. And therefore, is paying the price for his honesty. Navya did the right thing too. In a way, she put the ball back in his court. If Anant indeed wants to be married to Navya, instead of Shagun, then he has to muster courage and conviction to fight against all the odds. However, I wish that they do not hasten their marriage. 19 year olds getting married is both illegal (for the guy) and a sacrilege.
