Talaash-E-Baliye
The talaash for the 12th couple on the reality dance show, Nach Baliye season 5, has ended. And the couple, who has danced its way to the coveted list, is from Kolkata!
Sovit Biswal, an analyst, and his wife, Satyaki, a well-known salsa teacher, were selected from amongst thousands of couples all over India, who had uploaded their dancing videos on the channel's website as part of Talaash-e-Baliye. They will be the only non-celeb couple fighting it out on the show.
After seeing their first performance on Tumhi ho bandhu, judgeTerence Lewis — who also shook a leg with Satyaki on stage — said, "There was one thing missing on the show and that was them. They are outstanding. I want this jodi to be on the show and hope the audience votes for them, because they are competing against stars, who have their own fan following. In fact, after they performed, all other contestants were heard joking about quitting the show."
When we contacted Sovit and Satyaki, they were ecstatic. "We are very excited to be here. It's been a great journey. We got very good comments from the judges. But we cannot rest on our laurels, we have to work hard."
When asked about their favourite jodis, on the show, they said, "Amar and Charlie, and Jaisheel and Suhasi are the ones we will be looking out for.
