saroj khan's-----shweta t,shweta k,tanaaz.........
kunal's fav-------narayni,tina,gouri tonk,gurdip,shweta t.

๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜† its sooo true and obvious!!!! ๐Ÿ˜†

to make it bit more interesting, i've highlighted the most favorite one of each judge! ๐Ÿ˜† .... which is also pretty obvious, isn't it?

but i'm not soo sure about raja being one of malaika's favorites .... i guess she feels sorry for him (also, i guess she has to talk about the guy as the other two judges only talk about the girls on the show)

Great discussion and it easier to read all the comments when its in one thread ๐Ÿ˜ƒ ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I think Kunal is fida over Tina ๐Ÿ˜ณ and i agree with him about her starting to act, she is very natural when its comes to expressions and her dancing is improving in leaps and bounds. I loved HuTina's concept for their dance, it was very different to the rest ๐Ÿ˜ณ

What i like about the judges is that Kunal always focuses on the women, Malaika balances it out by praising the men and Saroj ji addresses the choregraphers. Malaika is very impressed with Manav, maybe a lil too impressed ๐Ÿ˜›

This round was really good, everyone's look was nice and the costumes were beautiful. Gauri-Hiten performed well, they have found their niche-retro music which suits their style of dance but they do have one of the weakest choregraphers ๐Ÿ˜ญ ๐Ÿ˜ญ which doesnt help them, cause he took four weeks to give them a song that can perform well to,only to ruin it by bringing in too much background dancers.

The other Gouri and Yash were so entertaining, i enjoyed their performance more then Shweta-Manav so i feel they deserved more marks as S-M steps were very simple and they didnt utilise the stage as much. G-Y oozed chemistry and i loved their finishing, and i cudnt even tell that Gouri was unwell until she finished dancing and was looking quite weak and pale. So her efforts are so commendable! ๐Ÿ‘

Gurdip was very brave to carry on dancing, i liked her spirit. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

my take
firstly about hosts....i can't put my finger on it but something about amit was weird and off. neeru seemed to be her usual beautiful self. also when amit seemed to push her to say yes to his proposal while she was the naysayer...there were some very strong undercurrents . what was up between them???

now about judges....saroj seemed subdued , almost as if she has realised viewer's unhappiness over her antics. still she could not help but interrupt kunal more than once. mallaika and kunal seem to be frustated by her...

now about jodi's...

kirti/sharad.....sorry to disagree with most of you but apart from costumes ,nothing was redeamable about thier performance. they chose a fast song and were so focussed on steps that they forgot about expressions or chemistry. i think kirti hardly ever looks at sharad through out the dance...very very thanda performance with complete disarray on stage. can't figure out what saroj found sweet about it.

gauri and yash....have to give it up to gauri , she did wonderfully. her major strength is her facial expressions , also she does very well in songs that need some show of nakhras and chedchad(anything saucy). i really liked thier dance along with costumesand choreography

manav/shweta.....i have loved this jodi since day one...they have made great improvements. manav is a great dancer and a perfectionist when it comes to expressions. shweta also is able to hold her own. having said that i agree with kunal and i did not like thier choreography...somehow i think they did not choose the right song....the choreographer did his best by introducing innovative steps and so did the jodi but they could have got a perfect score with a better song.

tina-hussain....i don't understand ...why are the judges hesitant to give this jodi the perfect score. in all the rounds they have done well, they have amazing chemistry, they are lookers , thier costumes are impeccable and lately both thier steps and expressions have been great.anyways this jodi was fun to watch...tina really did well with the fast footwork.

hiten/gauri....another jodi whose scores and performance, i don't understand. the couple have been making wrong choices when it comes to songs. they have chosen fast songs which require fancy footwork instead of expressionbased songs which can be thier forte. also either they have a bad choreographer or they are even worse at dancing that we all thought. whatever the reason, thier effort shows but the dance does not have the required impact. to top it all judges seem to be misers when it comes to marks...thier choreographer really needs to step it up. this week thier performance was better but the crowd on stage spoilt the impact. incidentally most of thier steps were from past era(when dances were more expression based and generally steps were simpler) which gave them an advantage. hiten actually managed to do one of shashi kapoor's signature steps .surprisingly none of the judges mentioned that thier steps were true to the era of song and the simplicity of it all.

tanaaz/baktiyaar....great performance....bakhtiyaar really needs a chill pill before each of his performances...the way he jumps makes me think of jackie chan sometimes( is he going to jump and kick someone and land on his feet back all while dancing). some of the steps were from the original but i guess it is hard to seperate a popular song like this from its original dance.

gurdip/arjun....what courage, what grace...i am floored. the dance was average...though the couple did get nervous after the fall. incidentally i thought the steps were slightly slow than the song but then all judges mentioned that arjun seemed a bit distracted .

shweta/raja...why can't shweta use a bit of her acting skills here and pretend to be a graceful, happy participant. she did not go in histronics but her silence and haughty expression spoke volumes. i simply don't understand it...raja did better than i expected and when the judges appreciated it ...she seemed to be offended that her husband took the front seat in this episode. maybe i misunderstood it all but the more i see her...the more i dislike her. somebody should tell her that likability plays an important role in viewer votings....only talent is not enough

Here is my take:

As far as hosts are concerned, none of the hosts so far are comparable to
Sangeeta and Shabbir. I was watching a couple of NB1 epis and realized
that Sangeeta and Shabbir were very very good hosts. Sangeeta is a
fabulous dancer and Shabbir had a joie de vivre and charisma that most
of these hosts lack. This couple was probably the worst of the lot. They
did not look or sound in love and Amit seemed very indifferent.

The judges: Malaika has retained her sensuality and charm which make
her a very appealing judge. She also seems much more knowledgable this
time around. She is also a fair judge and tries to keep the panel sane.
Saroj Khan was much more mellow this time around. Kunal - I am sorry,
but you sir are no Farhaan Akhtar. He is good, but Farhaan, Malaika and
Saroj had a certain camaraderie which is missing this time around.

Sharad Keerti: They had a very graceful exit. Their new choreographer
was worse than the last. They really deserved to go this time around since
they were at the bottom of the pile and had shown very very little
progress

Yash Gauri: This couple has really improved and Gauri has honestly
proved to be a surprise package. I really liked their performance. I hope
they last a little longer in the contest, although they dont seem to be very
popular

Manav Shweta: they are good, they are not my favourites though.

Tina Hussain: according to me they had the best performance. Their
concept was unique and they delivered very well too. Hussein is a
FABULOUS dancer and Tina has improved in leaps and bounds

Hiten Gauri: while this couple is the best looking and most popular, they
are still not very good dancers. I agree that they are unfortunate to be
stuck with an unimaginative choreographer. Last year Manish and
Poonam managed to do so well because their choreographers were good
and very imaginative and yet played to their strengths. Hiten has started
dancing very gracefully though. Gauri still lacks the grace

Tanaaz Bakhtiyaar: I loved the concept, although I do agree that the steps
were copied from the song and normally Saroj Khan makes such a HUGE
fuss about this. Maybe she has not seen this song since it was
choreographed by her greatest rival; Farah Khan

Gurdip Arjun: it was amazing the way Gurdip recovered. I have to confess
I was rolling on the floor with laughter when she and Arjun fell (I know it
was really mean of me) I love her spirit.

Shweta Raja: WHAT WAS THE MATTER WITH SHWETA??? The way she
looked seemed like she had smelt something rotten. As Minnie said
maybe she read the remarks on IF ๐Ÿ˜†. As atria has mentioned she
was'nt even completing her steps. She wasnt interested and seemed really
annoyed at something/someone.
