Saroj's whistle

Do you realise tht in the first nach baliye only 3 couples (varun-rajeswari, sachin-supriya, manish-poonam) got her whistle and tht also much later in nach baliye contest???

But in this nach baliye 2 she startes giving whistle in the 1st round itself.

So far she has given the whistle to sweta-raja (whom i dont think deserved it as in the first dance u could see sweta doing majority of the dance while hubby dear lifted), talnaaz-bagtiyaar (who deserved it), Narayani-gaurav (who derserved it), manav-sweta (deserved it as well) and gurdip-arjun (derserved it).

That is 5 couples in the first 3 episodes...is saroj's standard getting lower or is starting to become less strict.

If this continue all the couples might get the whistle!!!

then wht will be so special abt it left???

well..i hvnt seen much of the previous season of nach baliye...but whtevr i ve seen i can say tht th couples this time over have been performing much better n really classy. 😃
though those who ve seen last season shld knw better.

Might not be true as they were somewho performed superbly and got 29 or so in last season but never got saroj's whistle 😊

That was the interesting thing about the ceetie and money in NB1. First of all, it was a new concept, handing out 101 rupaye and ceeties, the first time she handed out the money everyone was stunned. Secondly, it was doled out like a precious commodity, e.g Archana Parmeet never got it even though they got 30. She once said-I only do this when the dance touches my heart. 👏 I liked that comment. But now, it seems her heart is constantly getting touched. After every performance, as soon as she makes a good comment, people start thinking about ceetie and money. The choreographers keep saying-- ceetie chahiye, paisa chahiye Its lost its charm totally.

I agree with atria. It is not about the quality of the performance, it is
about that special something that a performance brings. As I have
mentioned elsewhere, last season there were only three couples who got
the 101 Rs. It was something that you got when your dance was beyond
brilliant, when it created awe even among the competitors. Now it seems
to go with every 30 that is dished out. Now SK has progressed to gold
chains. Whats next? Diamond rings???

Also ninand: the contestants do dance better, but in NO way are they
more classy. We have seen more drama and tears and sobs in three
episodes as compared to the entire season last time around.

I'm confused about the gold chain too. Was she just carrying around the gold chain with her from day one expecting some one to deserve it? It can't be an impulsive action, people don't carry gold chains in their purse like money. 😕 Also I can't trust Saroj's reactions these days. If you notice, after Shweta-Manav's dance, she gave one round of comments, then while the others were speaking, she was looking behind and speaking to someone. Was somebody from the channel prompting her to do the gold chain drama? 😡 Don't get me wrong, I loved Shweta-Manav's performance, but after she admitted that the Shweta Tiwari drama was due to some ones prompting from behind, I feel really suspicious of all her moves now. They are spoiling NB2 with all the drama, please let us enjoy watching the celebrities dance. 😭

i agree...this whistle-money-and now chain thing has become so generic in the second season, that it has lost it's charm...

there have been some great performances, but i am yet to see something rocking, like varun-rajeshwari's top notch comedy round dance!! i still maintain that NB-1 was high on content, though perhaps less on glamor quotient of the couples...saroj ji, please don't spoil them uselessly now..

Peachesandplum you have hit the nail on the head. NB1 was much higher
on content. I dont know if anyone will even come close to Varun-
Rajeshwari's "banda ye bindaas" dance. Now that DESERVED a gold chain!!
