My Take on the Jodis:
01: Narayani and Gaurav:- loved them...they had good choreography,good chemistry . this is one jodi to look out for. however thier reserved personas may prove to be a disadvantage....viewers seem to connect more with jodis that over emote and throw tantrums on stage.
02: Gauri and Yash:- she was good, he was distracted and thus a great dance ended up being average. they need to work on showing thier chemistry on stage. there is no doubt though both of them can dance and are good at it.
03: Shweta and Manav:- they did better than i expected , manav was simply great as for shweta...honestly i don't think she did bad...her choreography was not very well done. she is lean and very tall and steps seem to be too jerky for her frame. also when you wear a short skirt , jerky steps translate as odd and vulgar. add nervousness to the mix and you have over excited wild looking dance like shweta's.i thought saroj was very unfair to her ....she has both grace and she dances like a lady...her steps should have been better and she should have been less anxious to deliver the right impact.
04: Shweta and Raja:- shweta was good..though her crying put me off...raja did literally nothing...thier score was very unfair.i was not fond of this jodi for some odd reason
05: Ketki and Rasik:- the less said the better...
06: Gurdip and Arjun:- thier costumes were good and so was thier chemistry ...the song was hot though they need to work on thier expressions.
07: Gauri and Hiten:- unlike everybody else i was not disappointed. they were very upfront about how they have never danced and it showed. i give them points just for trying this and opening themselves up to criticization. i think they tried...but given thier busy schedule and gauri not feeling well and the song being slow...i kept my expectations pretty low. this jodi reminds me of apoorve jodi last season. also word to the wise ...avoid tight clothes unless you are really good at dancing...clothes with flow hide your awkwardness.still they looked great and the stage sizzled when they were on it.
08: Tina and Hussain:- i have become a great hussain fan...loke brilliant dancers he made it seem natural and effortless. tina tried to keep up with him. thier mutual care and love showed in thier dance....another jodi to look for. i would say varun-rajeshwari in making.
09: Sharad and Keerthi:- hmmm....they were ok...the cuteness factor was there though for some reason sharad's costume reminded me of part joker and part bull fighter. also keerti's climb on sharad(or whatever that was) was not very graceful.
10: Tanaaz and Bhaktyaar:- well deserved marks for energy packed performance. they were the best..i loved tanaaz in the dance ...her bubbly personality really showed through. also this is the only jodi where couple are well matched when it comes to skill and enthusiasm.
tanaaz-bakhtiyaar, manav-shweta, tina-hussain and gaurav-narayani jodis are the ones to watch for. rest will have to work hard to keep up.
this season has a better pick of jodis than last season. however it seems that sachin cannot get over his success in last season...he mentioned it every five minutes.supriya seemed to enjoy rubbing salt on the wounds of jodis that were torn apart by judges. they need to change the compere/presenter pronto.
also if possible saroj was more blunt and unkind than usual...she really needs to tone down . i get it she is the mother of dance...or whatever but her know-all attitude and seemingly huge ego does not seem justified. she has made ample mistakes in her career and all her bollywood dances were not at par so she needs to really tone down.
