VARUN-RAJESWARI EXIT : ANALYSIS.

Today Varun-Rajeswari had to leave in what we saw very strange and
unpredictable circumstances, not by the usual lack of scores or audiance support but by something not anticipated or unimagined. No doubt i felt and still feeling sad, i had tears in my eyes and i still didnt want to believe it. Seeing again recaps of their tremndous displayes of artistic ability in past, surely no other couple matched up in comparison. But no matter how much we deny, destiny plays a big role in every thing in life. Thats why may be Bhanu Uday of Special Squad being a wonderous actor, did not get the best actor award in ITA 2005 though he was nominated and the award went to Vraun Badola who didnt deserve it like he did.

Whats more sad about the exit of V-R is they left not due to bad performance, but by a unreasoned accident...Varun froze on the stage like he had been cast an evil spell. When i think of the reasons and read abt people's opinions, i proceed to name the reaons of varun's actions on three grounds...


1) Extreme hardwork had turned into kind of drudgery which took a heavy toll on his mind and body..

Now this is unlikely, as others are also doing same hardwork..Poonam has just delivered a baby and looking at her physical shape it was very difficult for her, or considering sachin's age, rajeev's fear of dance etc, we cant say anyone was anything close to being comfortable physically from since months. It could have affected Varun's performance quality or made it little
low, but not to this extent. and the way Varun took the loss as only a competition, he wouldn't have come to stage if he was seriously ill.


2) The second reason acc to rumours is that the couple was bribed to quit to make s-s win. but even this is unnlikely as this is a prestige issue and not only abt money..so v-r cudnt have done this on purpose.

3) Third reason and the last one is technical failure in the audio phones
that varun heard different songs at a time and didnt know what to do, what song to dance to...but question is how could something like this happene???...why dint the channel check to see if everything was okay...?Something fishy here.

In all likelyhood we can not blame the judges, as they are not television related or they dont owe any one any explanation for their remarks and marks , they didnt set the stage or the speakers, also they have nothing to do with the trps of the channel( they even took thinsg emotionally for first time when varun was being brave by calling it just a competition)..so who has to do with it then? of course star one...they wanted sachin and supriya to win to gain trps and for publicity of their channel's sake, and they knew varun-raj is unmatchable and if they come to finals, they would surely win even if they didnt vote for themselves like others. So they knowingy caused that technical failure to destory their performance. If this is true, then hwo mean and sly can one get in name of trps and publicty!! There is something called business ethics..but i being somehow of the spiritual bent of mind, always believe, things are decided for us beforehand by a force called destiny..so the deserving and talented may suffer, while many less deserving are quite well off in life. Now i'm confused what to do next, whom to vote for..i dont see a huge difference in the performance of the two pairs, if s-s is good, even m-p is at par, iamgining they are complete non-dancers, they are no less, even performance wise.

These instances are very much abundant in tv and film awards now a days amd especially shows like indian idol, but N.B is definitely better from them, if S-S win, at least a decent pair wins..unlike those singing competitions where people cant sing for nuts , and their voice is worse than a scream..
Someone gets voted for his so called style like Quazi( no offence to his fans if any), some for their stage presence...V-R loss is great loss, but even if S-S or M-P wins i'll not regret seeing N.B quitting those horrible Sony reality shows.Thinking,at least the second best and quite a good dancing and talented pair won, though not entirely justifiable and N.B as a show is, far, far, far more entertaining.


I'll make a poll ..vote for what u think is the reaon for this accident of V-R
during performance, and still they are they best though wont be lebelled so.


PS - THIS ISNT AN ARTICLE, ITS MY WRITING. THANKS FOR READING SUCH A LONG POST, BUT IT WAS NECESSARY TO DESCRIBE THINGS CORRECTLY. I HAVE LOT MORE TO WRITE ON DIFFERENT tHINGS, FROM COUPLES TO CHOREOGRAPHERS TO SHAHID TO JUDGES TO THE VERY DIFFERENT WAY OF SCORING AND THE VERY DIFFERNET END AND FEEL OF THE SHOW ...i'll join you all tomorrow. Yesterday I could not believe myself when I saw The episode. Somebody going blank is understandable. It can happen to the best of us. But somehow it all looked very artificial to me. Varun looked upset about something and Rajeshwari looked resigned as if she knew why he had blanked out. ( its just my opinion)

I dont know how many of you watched Fame Gurukul but the same thing was there when last 3 were left. The third guy Rex always kept saying I will be out and I have signed another deal with Sony even before the final result was out. AS if he knew.

So does anybody here think that Varun blanked out for the basic reason that he came to know that however well he does he wont be the winner as this is all predecided. I would not blame him if this is the reason.

The two people who looked most upset with the non-performence were Sachin and Supriya. Sachin looked like he could not believe his eyes. Poonam and Manish could not hide their glee although to be fair to them it is a competetion.

It reminds one of all these television awards of last month. Does anybody wonder how come the lead actor, actress and the best serial award always goes to the channel on which those awards are coming. Just a thought...

For me Varun and Rajeshwari were the winners as they are the only ones who showed variety in dance. I loved Banda ye bindaas hai and the solo performance of Varun in Khaike Paan.. I think that it was the best performance of all of Nach Baliye. 👏

well everyone plz stop playing this blame game n face the reality.it was a reality show n i dont think star one would do suchh a thing for trps. y wud they want s-s to win n y not v-r?? i dont see any reason...ok if for a moment we think tht star one did it for trps then y didnt they keep a more famous couple like shilpa-apoorva till the finals they would have brought more trps then anything...all said n listened i genuinely think that it was varun n rajeshwari's over confidence tht made them lose...it is my opinion but very much possible...like rajeshwari herself said that i ask my choreographher to give me more difficult steps....so very much possible that she was over confident of what she n varun could perform... anyways it was their bad luck or whatever i would hate to see any of the two remaining couples as winners...none of them is deserving..

Very true Jungleeee. It was definitely overconfidence on Raj's part. In the Wednesday episode, she even said after doing a particular step " meri nani yaad aa gayi". If a step was soooooo hard for her to do, then what about Varun? And he has two shows he works on, minimal sleep- added to that Raj was teling Rajeev to give more difficult steps. Utter foolishness! One should know one's limits (and one's partner's limits) and not be over ambitious.They were a great couple no doubt, but overconfidence and overambition caused their failure.Sachin never kept insisting on extremely tough steps as he kept in mind Supriya's limitations. Raj obviously didn't.

Maybe they had really bad news given to them (family crisis, etc) before they went on stage? 😕

Very nicely put. For me too, Varun and Rajeshwari are the winners - right from the very first episode!!!

And their exit - is more NB's loss than anybody's else.

I have very little interest left in watching the finals - infact I dont think I'll watch at all. I find Sachin-Supriya extremely repetitive and predictable. As for Poonam-Manish, though they have come a long way from their initial clumsy performances, somehow the sight of an overweight Poonam trying to hop around - doesnt quite make a pretty sight! No offence meant!

great writng agree with u but since it was not a live show so if there was any technical problem they would have asked for teh corection but some how i felt something was fishy somewhere

Well the result was indeed shocking.Though there were rumours that Rajeshwari and Varun were eliminated even before we could see the show, yet the outcome was very hard to believe. Mainly because the couple was doing wholeseome dances. It was hard for them, mainly for Rajeshwari who is a great dancer and Varun seems to have improved too over the past few months.
However, we need to be objective. There may be a couple of reasons why this happened. The main reason may be that the hectic dance sessions had finally taken a toll on Varun and he somehow lost his cool. But the remaining two contestants should not be made scapegoats, please? It wasn't any of their fault that R-V couldn't perform properly. If R-V cld have finished their dance, then one of them would have been out and i am sure both S-S and P-M had come prepared for elimination. technical problems may not be there, b'cos there were a couple of performances and any technical glitch would have been looked into imemdiately.
