Just stop. Every single one of us! Enough! Stop!
When the hell did this place become a war zone??? When did it become a place to crucify and persecute each other?? Who the hell gave us the right to become judge, jury and executioner of these jodis??
We have all collectively managed to suck the fun out of this entire experience. And don't anybody start pointing the finger at his fellow man. I don't care who started it. I only care who stops it!
And what a bunch of hypocrites we all are. When our cities, towns and countries get attacked we are all quick to point at the terrorists, presidents and prime ministers and say 'look at these people spreading their hatred. Trying to create hostility and animosity amongst us. Well we're better than that. We'll stand united'. Rubbish!! How do we expect to do that when we can't even get along or tolerate each other on this one forum?? You can argue about degrees of hate. But hate is hate however small or big it is.
Even Hitler started off by 'disliking' a few fellow men before he finally turned his hatred against an entire race of people!
And what are we fighting for?? A few couples who on any given day wouldn't know you from Adam!! I'm not saying they don't appreciate and love their fans, only that we the fans are all losing our perspective here.
Ironically, there has been no controversy on the actual show between the jodi's themselves. Apart from a few issues they've had with the format, twists and occasinally the judges outbursts. They all have just got on with the job of dancing and entertaining us. Whatever controversy and drama has arisen has been created right here on the forum by us.
And we all do each and every one of those jodis a great dis-service by behaving like this. Every single one of them has worked hard and put in the effort to achieve their various levels of sucess. But it all means nothing, when instead of being able to appreciate and applaud all their performances we're all here arguing and bickering. It's unfair on them and selfish on our part. I was upset when Kanjali were eliminated and thought what's the point of carrying on watching NB? But that is unfair for the two jodis in the final. So I will be watching and hoping for good performances.
We all have our favourites. That's great. But that should not mean that we get to praise our respective jodis to high heaven at the detriment of others. They are all different people, with different qualities, but most importantly they are all human. We, none of us are perfect. So let's not pretend that we are. They, none of them are perfect, so let's not pretend they are either. None of those jodis themselves ever claimed to be the 'hottest', 'the cutest', 'the most in-love' or any other tag that you care to pin on them. We all think we're promoting our respective jodis. Well we're not. We're only giving them a bad image, and allowing their names to be dragged through the mud. Whether it's ShaJit, MegNam, or KanJali or any of the other jodis.
We all have flaws. The jodis included. Their flaws do not define who they are. We're all very quick to say 'yeah yeah Shaleen's not so great because I noticed this about him'. Some one else will come along and say 'Well Kapils not so great because I noticed this about him'. Everyone has character flaws and it is irresponsible on our parts to put these guys up on some kind of pedestal as if they are demi-deities! All that does is create spite amongst fans.
Lets appreciate these people for who they are. Decent human beings all doing their best to better themselves and entertain us. And not for what we would like them to be - perfect angels!
A giggling Shaleen when asked a sudden question does not define who he really is. An angry Kapil kicking a ladder because he is frustrated at himself for not being able to perform at his best does not define who he is. A teary Anjali, unable to hold in her emotions because she feels she has messed up is not defined by that single moment. They're human. Allow them to be so.
And how dare we all sit here and pontificate about what constitutes 'love' and what doesn't? How dare we make aspersions on what these couples feel or not for each other? Who gave us the right to declare who is most in love and who looks like they are faking it?? These are all people in love and we have no right to make any kind of comment on their relationships. I for my part have loved watching all their love stories unfold before me.
Shaleen noticing Daljit for the first time without make-up, despite working with her on the same set was endearing and sweet. Naman and Megha's love-at-first-sight and getting together is funny and heart-warming. Mouli and Mazher together for five years and very much in love despite being from two different faiths and cultures. Kapil being loving and protective towards a young Anjali is poignant and cute. They all have beautiful relationships. And we have no business trying to create unsavoury pictures of them when we know nothing about them.
Like there isn't enough crap out there in the real world, we have to start turning this forum into a battle field too. I along with many mothers, spend the best part of my day teaching my children to be nice to their fellow humans. To tolerate each others' differences. To respect each others views. To honour each others' rights. I come to the forum, read the posts and feel like hypocrite!
I've tried repeatedly to keep the peace but all to no avail. Because even when people post to say half-heartedly they agree with me...they can't do it without having a dig at another jodi or making veiled insults or whatnot. And I refer to all fans...all fans from all fan bases. And it doesn't matter whether it's on this forum or on another one. It's uncalled for.
Shame on us all. Each and every single one of us. Those jodis deserve better.
If your post does not help towards promoting peace on this forum then please don't post here.
