Be it his sculpted body, his dancing skills or his romance with co-actor Addite Shirwaikar, Mohit Malik seems to be courting headline space
This Delhi dude who started his small screen stint with Milee has followed it up with more shows like Jab Love Hua, Betiyaan Ya Apni Ya Paraya, Durgesh Nandini, Pari Hoon Main and Banoo Main Teri Dulhann. Did Mohit always want to do a reality show? "Well, I always wanted to do a dance show. I got other offers, but I didn't take them up. I have never danced before and I wanted to gain experience from this dance reality show that I am doing. I am sure the experience will help," says Mohit. What about the perception that scripts in reality shows are predetermined? "Reality shows are real and the emotions shown are very true. Nothing is scripted in these shows," he quips. For someone who kept his love life underwraps for so long, what made him announce it on national television? "I never wanted to talk about Addite, but now that the audience knows about it, I don't want to hide it either. We are in a relationship for the last three years. I met her first on the sets of the soap Millee," he affirms. On their first date, Mohit took Addite to a juice centre on Haji Ali Road. Does he remember the first gift he gave her? "I am a very unromantic guy. I took her to a mall and asked her to buy whatever she wants," he laughs. "I am learning things gradually and just bought her a phone on her birthday," adds Mohit. With time the relationship has surely metamorphosed. "Initially, my career was my priority, but now things have changed. I think somewhere Addite has become as important as my career. We are now soulmates," gushes Mohit who feels 'trust' is one word that describes their relationship. And yes, marriage is on the cards, but that will happen in a while. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Entertainment/TV_Buzz/I_am_a_very_unromantic_guy/articleshow/3744998.cms |
