This is exactly why indian television shows lag so far behind in comparison to hollywood shows. Because of content like this...regressive and cheap. Naamkarann was the polar opposite of this. It taught so many life lessons...such as:

1) It's okay to have a male best friend if you're a woman
2) Being a woman doesn't mean you're answerable to each and every person who raises a finger at you
3) Women aren't damsels in distress - they are intelligent people who are very well capable of taking care of themselves and their family, with or without the support of a man
4) Always fight for what's right - be honest, truthful and good. Truth will always prevail :)
5) A woman doesn't need the surname of her father to be accepted and loved by others. She should be loved for the person she is - not her name.

It also taught us how a man should treat a woman. Neil Khanna...the perfect husband...supported Avni from DAY ONE...even from his own mother and family members. But he never treated her as an Abla Naari...he always saw her as an equal and that was the best part about their relationship...they were equals. In one scene, Avni even says "saade teen phere mere aur saade teen phere tumhaare...humaara rishta baraabari ka hai"

This is called quality content. Times are changing. This is the kind of thing people want to see now. Not some backward nonsense where daughter in laws are getting bashed black and blue by their in-laws and are just sitting mum. So therefore, the reason for the lack of views for KCL is because their content is utter crap and displays everything that Naamkarann went specifically AGAINST. So coming crying to naamkarann fans now to watch a show that is POLAR OPPOSITE to their values, beliefs and what their favourite show promoted is a new level of stupidity.
