I always felt Ali was one of the underrated characters in Naamkarann. They could have used the character in a lot of ways to bring twists in the story. Like I felt that after waiting for Avni for 15 years, he easily gave up on his love for Avni. Avni got married to Neil but everybody knew that it was not a love marriage. And Avni herself conveyed to Ali her desire to break the marriage. So don't you guys think that Ali should have confessed his feelings to Avni and waited for her answer or seen her love for Neil before sacrificing his love? Neil-Ali Tashan for Avni before they could again become friends would have been a nice track to watch. Please share your views😊

Yes I agree to the fact that ali's character had lots more room to be explored. Though I don't agree to having him as a third angle but I the CVS could have made his characterisation better in the sense whereby he could have been shown more as a support pillar to Avni. They gave him some role during the jail track and at the casino but that was just too little. Initially when Avni was trying take revenge of DM, they shouldn't have shown Ali they way they did with Mithali. I felt he wasn't as dumb as they showed. Why not let him solve one puzzle at least instead of just making him as the guardian angel of Avni. I also wished Avni leaving Neil after the DM revenge and pursuing her Chamko cafe dreams with Ali and thence having Neil and Avni's love Story blooms from there. Similar to the initial NK days where there were lots of cafe scenes between Ali, DD and Neil, they could have done it post revenge as well in parallel to Shwetha and Riya's roles..

Yes I agree with u.
He was the one of the most underrated character in nk.
Sometimes, I really felt bad for him. He didn't even confessed his feeling.
I love their friendship. I glad they didn't butchered his character.

Ali's fate as third angle was decided after the first leap itself. But he could have been that third angle who could helped in the growth in the story and characters unlike other third angles who appeared from nowhere to claim a place in lead's life. Ali was sidelined after the RM track and the only work he had was to search for Avni. In the jail track he had a minor role in the beginning but after that he was again sidelined with not much role to play. No wonder Gautam decided to quit NK and now he has got a substantial role to play in the other show

Ali, DD none of them got a parallel story for themselves. After the 10 year leap, I think Jahaan expected that DD will get a love story with Sunehri with fans also supporting it but DD's role got scrapped after KK-Sayesha marriagešŸ˜•

True, Ali is one of the purest souls of Naamkaran. His friendship and bond with Avni was something praiseworthy. Eventhough he loved Avni, he never let his oneway love affect Avni's marital relationship. But I think DD's character had a good potential, but the cvs never explored it. Added with his relationship with Sunheri, they could also have shown titbits of his dreadful past affecting his present life and AvNeil togetherly counselling him.
And then Tara and Sitara , the comic relief of the show, the cvs could also make them play cupid in Avneil's relationship with some added comedy.
Atleast they could have shown how the orphanage children's experience in school and how AvNeil togetherly fight it. Its always good to see Avneil pairing up against some odds.
Naamkarans real essence was lost in the love triangle of last few days. The show has always shown social problems and stressed on how to fight them. Never in my life I thought the character of Neil Khanna will turn 180 degrees from his own principles.
Atleast they could do Mowglis NaamkaranšŸ˜†

Yes i think they totally wasted Ali as well as Riya and amol
I mean the main motive of Avni's entry in mehta niwas was to get back amol as AMAN but after the ramg mahal incident he vanished and after that track Riya also never showed up.. They wasted the three awesome characters.. Ali and Riya's tashan was also amazing
The show could do much more with the story bit it ended up very quickly.. i hate that.. I am namkaran's die heart fan.. I m watching it again on hotstar.. i hope and wish they bring another season for the show like ipkknd.. I just wish.. Love for AvNeil #namkaranrocks

Completely agree dragon he wasn't given much importance where in they could have used him to make neil jealous more than 1 scene and Neil and Ali never discussed about Ali's love for Avni because Neil knew the depth of Ali's love I always feel the jealous neil track should have been a little longer I also think they should have explored Ali and Riya angle as well

In NK please post 15 year leap it was totally Avneil and villains centered. Apart from Neil and Avni only the villains got SS. And the villains and negativity and sadness took up too much SS. Ali and Amol who were the most important people in Avnis life preleap were completely side tracked. The show would have been great if there was Ali's love story running parallel to avneils. Also if Amol had returned from jail I would have been nice to see his story. There was so much more they could have shown us rather than ending the show. I think ali and Mithali should have had a love story.
