I think they are trying to show Avni being Mahan by letting Neil marry Metali even after Neil gets to truth if that happen that is...
I think the whole wedding sequence is a dream as last I remember Zain is green kurta in cliff scene when did he change because that reduces his chances of catching Avni at the right place before he leaves
