They can show that at one point after the engagement a cool mind prevailed in Neil and he started thinking back to avni's actions and words, hence he had a doubt. This would be more realistic than saying everything he said to mitali was part of a pretence too.

Bang on post dragon👍🏼 you know even in real life my mother use to say all men are same in this matter usually when wife dies or divorce happens even at the age of 60 and 70 I have seen men marrying again irrespective of age saying that they cant live alone they need support /partner till they are alive but rarely we see women doing the same and neil Khanna proved it too that he is no different in this matter and yes Avni will always have my respect for this quality of hers
