SP is funny asking nk to come in top5 during IPL ,2.5 trp

so it's indirectly saying fans u can't get required trp we will off air nk .let's all watch it in tv at 9 and atleast give nk 2 trp then Sp owe an explanation to audience the real reason behind nk going off air

I thought the rumours were not true but after reading this its totally disappointing.

SP should just stick to their typical saas bahu drama and be happy with the TRPs. Why did they had to try unique subject like NK and explore them when they can't even give it a chance to culminate?? 😡

SP should feel ashamed. For once...they could have valued content over TRP.

It is so unfair to end a show like this with only a percent of AvNeil's own story shown. 😭

Hope we get some AvNeil and happy family moments.
The show has lacked this completely, missions after missions - sad and enotional dramam one after another, has taken a toll on the show

Hi Everyone,

Now that we have a confirmation that they have decided to pull the show off air, I don't think any miracle or fan requests can save the show.

However, when there is still time, we can request SP to come back with a season 2 of Naamkarann, with the story foundation, same characters and most importantly the same cast...It will be a fresh start and will have more scope in terms of story (similar to some of the stories, our amazing writers here in this forum have penned down).

We should all try to write to SP for a season 2 before the current cast grabs other opportunities. Please guys there is no harm in trying our luck. Considering that SP has witnessed the strong fandom of Naamkarann, there are chances that they will consider this request.

I wrote an email to SP yesterday and please see their response that I received today. They have confirmed that the show is indeed going off air!

We appreciate the fact that you have liked the show and it's great to know that the characters of Avni and Neil have resonated so well with the audiences.

We understand that you did not like the past few tracks but it has been our true endeavor to keep the core of the story intact through these tracks where Avni has time and again challenged society's prejudice.

Naamkaran has showcased Avni's journey to find her identity and a need to have a normal family as a child, a wife and now as a mother which now is inching towards its completion.

We have read the detailed feedback towards the show and have noted down your suggestions, we are happy to hear that our viewers will want a season 2 but there are no such plans now, however if we decide to bring back the show we will keep the viewer response in mind.

Naamkaran would've done better if it were to be on another channel or a web series.

The first mistake on the part of the channel was to promote Sayesha - KKs love story and a teen pregnancy as the so called nayi soch and adorned them on their red montage. This totally altered the theme of the story.

The second mistake was overstretching AvNeil's separation and giving way too much importance to Avni caring the Najayaz. Neil was totally sidelined.

What a waste of Zain and Aditi's Brilliant Chemistry

@bold/underlined - well i feel they are just sending such feelers to quell viewers frustration at loose ends and rushed closure.

If the Channel did not even let the PH to continue with a story which had so much potential ... how can anyone expect them to allow a second season of the show and where is the guarantee that the second season will carry on smoothly and not get botched up the way it is getting now ??

Second season is highly unlikely.

PH cannot take it to another channel as rights are with SP 😕
