oK friends, this is Gonna be my last post here. Will try to finish the FF which I started. But I am pretty much disillusioned with NK so don't know if I have it in me to finish off the FF. Before leaving I just wanted to put my two cents why trp is not increasing and why they lose audience like me. If you are looking for the positive post ..leave asap. Why NK is not working for me now...
1. Neela ma..I don't even have to say why it backfired. She was a character which had so much potential. The killing of Mishti would have been a better option for emotional impact and separation. For temporary gain, they sacrificed a person, who could fetch TRPs in the long run. They take months to establish a character and make them vanish in a sec...Neela, Ali, even Aman. Mehtha Family, Ria list is endless.
2. Lack of family involvement. In NK, they do not have a family set up or even have enough people in the family to have parallel stories to spice up the love story. What we have is mishti whom fandom absolutely hates. When nk was revolving around Avneil and their respective families, we always had good trp and good scenes too. We can argue, NK is a love story and doesn't have to be cliche, but then we should be ready to accept the moderate TRPs, Audience wants a love story, family drama, the affection between many family members and then villains or vamps. you give them that, and you reap the trp. A bunch of kids, a couple of ex-convicts, and a hero are too many random people on screen and I don't feel the old NK charm anymore. Those who do, pls enjoy the show and skip the post. :)
3. IMO, Avni's character needs to loosen up a bit. She is always a sad whining person, and Neil's love literally had no effect on her. I don't remember when I saw Avni in a happy mood last time. Maybe the gazebo scene. Its high time, they give Avni, a new shade of color in her life, not just the senti, sacrifice mata mode without any energy. It is becoming monotonous. No one wants to see a senti person all the time.
4. My last point is gonna be a little controversial. Aditi is good with emotionally charged scenes. But she is a very constrained actress. Her acting palette is limited when it comes to silly, comic scenes. Or maybe she is not getting an opportunity to show it (drunk scene @ police station was ok.). One more thing is, often these days, I feel her voice modulation is very mechanical. May be it is just me.
Anyway, jotted down few points, so that if ever CVs takes feedback from the forum, they could hear me. Thanks for all the love, hope to see in some other forum.
