My take on Avni!

I happened to watch one of the previous episodes of Naamkarann. The scene where Avni pretends to be a nurse and meets Neil after he is conscious and out of surgery. In that scene when Neil is pursuing Avni to come back with him, she says something that got me thinking about the current situation that Avni is in right now. Neil had told her that you cannot hide every time. And she had responded saying that hiding helps her fights this world and keep her strong. And that she has seen her mothers fight and lose in front of the destiny and she didn't want that for herself. And Neela's death did that to her. It broke her to the level that she ended up losing to the destiny. And hence she is leading the life she is right now. And hiding is only helping her stay strong.

The scene you are referring to really is fitting here, it used to be Avni's defense mechanism to fight against this world and now we see the same unfolding only for different reasons. It took Avni a long time to believe in love, to believe she can have that happily ever after and she surrended herself to Neil. Avni was all set to move forward with her life that too after Neela's death but destiny wouldn't let her do so. Vidyut lurked around, he terrorized her into believing she could lose much more than she gained and after he killed her mother is it really a risk she could take?

What you said about Avni and Neil is so true, I was reminded of the Bulleya sequence where we saw Avni dreaming of losing herself to love again, to embrace him but she couldn't do so. This has been a struggle for Avni too, she is miserable without Neil. I feel CVs have done a good job showing her turmoil, Avni would love nothing more than to reunite with her love and perfect family, that was a life she never thought she could have, a dream her mother had for her yet that's all it remained for her a dream. Avni has been unable to live out that dream much like Neil in his current situation, both long for each other but cannot be together at least that is what they think. The same destiny that played a role in separating them is now bringing them together again because they are meant to be. Avni and Neil will be shown healing each other, they will come out of this stronger just like they have the many storms that came their way. Those dreams they crave to be a reality will happen soon and I cannot wait to see how everything unfolds.

I agree. I feel that aditi has done an awesome work in portraying this character. Coz avni and neilanjana r 2 opposite characters earlier where avni was brave,courageous and fearless now she has become a coward by again putting herself into the shell. She is soo much mentally scared after neela maa's death that she can't sit in a speeding vehicle. This shows her mental state. So she is keeping neil away from her though she dies every moment thinking how much is he suffering. We can also see that she still craves for Neil but cannot go near him. I hear people telling that they don't connect to neilanjana's character or the way aditi is portraying it but I feel as we all hv seen a brave female lead in our show so as there is a sudden transformation in her character we r not able to accept it or reason it. So I feel we should give some time for exploring this character. But I don't agree with people telling that avni cannot see neil's suffering. I think she understands his suffering but does not go to him becbecause she is scared that that it can cause more harm to him ( putting his and her family members life in danger) she can see them from far living away from them though it difficult for her. But can't see them dieing and suffering pain because of her coz she has lost all the peopeople she loved . So she faked her death to see them safe and sound and alive. This is only my opinion. I m sorry if I hv hurt others feelings by telling this

Exactly Mandy! Avni can't be shown thinking about Neil 24/7. And there is not just one reason!

1) She is holding on to her emotions because she doesn't want to fall weak and go back to the love of her life and risk his and their families life

2) She now has the responsibilities of the kids and hence she needs to have that control over her emotions.

3) They constantly have goons threatening them

It can be seen she is trying real hard and she is falling weak here and there when Neil so close yet so far from her.

Yes we have seen Neil is still her strength as well as her weakness, she becomes weak around him but she fears what would happen if he learned the truth. This is not easy for her, just look at the scene with Mitali where she just breaks down. It breaks her heart doing this to the people who gave her much more than she could ever want in life, more than she herself thought she could have.

You are right she has these kids who depend on her and goons who are threatening to take their home, she needs to do right by them because these kids have no one in their lives. For them Avni is everything, no matter how much of a coward they think she is they still depend on her, they are still protective of her.

And she didn't have a person to share her fear with. Most of them say she could share it with Neil. But she can't she saw how Neil was shattered when he had a doubt that he killed neela by mistake. How can she share with him that was his father who killed neela.

On top of it vidhyut gave her 2 options either come to him and let Neil's family live in peace or be with them and watch all of the dying one by one.

Avni cant choose both options so chose created her own option by which her family is safe and vidhyut is out of picture now. Leaving Neil , entire khanna s are happy with no fear is just bcoz of avnis decision that day.

I can definitely connect to Neil's pain. I feel bad for him too.

But if I stand in avnis shoes. Whatever she is doing seems right for me.

THIS!!! This is exactly what Avni's turmoil is, how could she have told Neil that his father is responsible for the death of her mother? It won't matter that it was an accident because of what Vidyut did, that is something that would haunt Prakash to know he killed the mother of a child he loves as if she were his own. This goes much beyond just wanting to keep Neil and the Khannas safe, it is about wanting to keep that secret buried forever. I feel for Avni, the extent she has gone to protect her loved ones is no different from the extent Neil went to protect her. The time difference really is not much of one considering Avni was in jail, she thought her husband broke all relations with her when in reality all he was doing was fighting to keep her safe. I feel Neil is going to see that POV and while he is still going to be angry with Avni once he learns this went further than just about protecting him, he is going to melt.
