Even if he doesn't die I don't see how her fake death helps! Unless Neel is aware of this plan...even then it's a harebrained plan but atleast Neel knows. If Neel thinks avni really died that's the worst possible torture she could put him through. And when avni returns if she sees him getting engaged to another girl in the name of moving on that'll be the worst thing he could do to her! Why do they show all these vows and promises when neither of them cares about fulfilling them?!
