According to the article, makers reached her to appear for some Flashback scene.

Just found this.

Yes please let it be a flashback or a dream of Avni's or something. She cant come back for real coz that will be too much and yes a huge blunder.

Perhaps news is right.recently barkha has been seen with producers of nk in many places. For necessary of describing avni's emotional condition to viewers maybe avni will be shown to talk with her mother aysha's delusional presence. Flash back isn't possible as ayesha's death was happened when avni was kid. It perhaps is aysha's presence before Avni as her imagining n some conversation between avni n aysha in avni's imagination.
