I'm really skeptical while posting it, and believe my words when I say that. I have zero knowledge or experience of what really happens during the process of delivery. With a hope that any sort of mistakes, content-wise or grammatical, would be forgiven.

AvNeil OS ~ Amyra Khanna
The startling pain across the abdomen shot Avni from sleep. She shuts her eyes, instead hits her fingers on the bed. Her fingers mingling with emptiness, she realised being alone not on the bed but also in the room. She remembered having kicked off her husband for something quite sill she couldn't remember. Not something important to make him leave the room, she was sure.
Her brain reaches out for the cause of uneasiness with another sharp pain in her lower region. At that precise moment she realised to her horror that her water broke and those weren't any braxton hicks. The baby was coming out.
"Neil" She tried to scream but the pains didn't permit her to do so.
Clutching her abdomen, she made her way out of their room. It was midnight and the residents were fast asleep in their respective rooms. Holding the railings for support, she staggered in the corridor in the hope of finding her husband.
"Neil" She tried to be audible enough. There was a rush of footsteps and her husband with few files came into view within seconds.
Great! Leaving his pregnant wife alone in the room, he is more attentive to the office work. But she was thankful enough to the Almighty that he found her.
"What's wrong?" He asked seeing her tired, sweaty face.
"My water broke." A mere whisper came from Avni. Neil was taken aback for a moment before lifting Av in bridal styly quickly taking her to the car.
"Neil, it's unbearable now." Avni broke into tears.
"Wifey, you'll be alright. We are almost there." Neil replied caressing her forehead with his free hand. Switching on his phone, he informed the doctor about Avni's condition.
Reaching the hospital, Avni was immediately escorted to the labour room. Along with her accompanied Neil who stood firm by his decision of not leaving her alone.
"You don't have to see this." Avni said in between her attempts to push the baby out. He replied nothing but held her palm tighter.
"Aaah!" Neil screamed. She gripped his palm tighter piercing his skin with her long nails. "We'll be alright, love. Just push." Neil persuaded Avni who almost succumbed to unconsciousness.
Giving one hard push, Avni fell exhausted. And the room remained in absolute silence when the tranquility of the room was soon broken by a shrill cry which Avni gladly realised weren't hers.
"Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Khanna. It's a girl."
The baby was out. Their baby... Swara smiled once before the world of unconsciousness invited her
Avni didn't know how many hours it took for her to wake up from sleep, but one look at her husband's sleepy form next to her she was certain it was too long indeed. She shifted her position and found their baby in a peaceful sleep. Their first child; the symbol of the potent love they shared, her nine months of patience was in the craddle wrapped in a warm blanket.
"Avni, glad you're awake."
Neil's voice turned Avni to his side. She gave him a smile with few tears that involuntarily reached her cheeks. The feeling of motherhood was new and overwhelming for her. She could remember, she was this happy when she held her brother for the first time after his birth.
"Can I hold her once?" Avni asked pointing the little one. Neil obliged to her wish placing the newborn in his wife's hands. She caressed her (baby's) forehead, then face reaching her fingers. They were soft and tiny. Their daughter looked winsome, she thought. Their daughter was so petite that Avni feared that she might drop her down.
"Have you thought any name, Neil?" She asked, her gaze not leaving their daughter.
"I do have one in mind." He replied holding her in his embrace. She nodded indicating him to continue.
"Amyra" he replied. Avni smiled recollecting their conversation-debate about the names of their baby. Neil had been so sure that it would be a girl, and they would name her Amyra for she would be the princess with them wrapped around her little finger.
"princess, she would be the little princess of our kingdom." Avni continued, snuggling closer in his embrace.
Their relationship was something pure and sharp forged in times of molten red hot trials and tribulations. They have known each other in their best and worst situations, not leaving each others' side even for a flick of second. Their relationship wasn't peaches and cream, it was beautiful roses with pricking thorns. Their love is just too intense for words, scorching for visuals and heartbreakingly beautiful to experience. The little addition to their world, their little baby girl, was the dazzling emblem of the love they shared.
