1)Ashish's full name was Ashish Mehta. Neil's full name is Neil Khanna.
2)Ashish was a director. Neil is an ACP.
3)Ashish was Avni's father. Neil is not Avni's father(thanks to a recent olv which confirmed the same)
4)Ashish's mother's name was Dayawanti. Neil's mother's name is Sweta (I am not sure what was Ashish's father's name)
5)Ashish never addressed Neela as Neela maa. Neil addresses Neela as Neela maa.
6)Ashish had a daughter and a son. Neil's status as a father is not confirmed.
7)Most importantly, Ashish and Neil's appearance is not same.
