I have been trying hard to relate to this character...but failing miserably. The Juhi I heard about from Neil's description vs the one we're witnessing don't match. Yes she's being portrayed as one whose spirit has been probably broken because of the past 5 years of misery .. but I would have liked to see some spark of the remnant of Neil's Juhi or her pining for Neil when she's reminiscing her time with him. The only expression I have seen plastered on Juhi's face is the on end in the capture... with slight variations and different costumes. I get it that for evolvement of the story they are introducing her as a third angle to Neil and Avani's equation for the triangle... but then if the characterization is weak or the enactment .. will that justify the character's impending 'catastrophic' affect ( if any ) to AvNeil relationship? Right now as we see Juhi .. all it comes is.. what were the creatives thinking ? I'm just curious to see how they justify her as the effective angle in the triangle.

Well Even I fail to see any match with juhi now we are witnessing with Neil's description abt juhi..yes As Neil said juhi was gud at heart ( till now but don't know how she will be in future)rest it doesn't match...The first thing he said was both Avni and juhi were similar but I disagree Avni is way different frm juhi ..Avni is very strong ,determined and brave women ..agree Juhi miseries for past 5 yrs made her week to fight for herself..even Avni faced so many miseries frm her childhood coz of DM ..she lost her parents,brother and her childhood at the age of11..but she didn't became week rather Her miseries made her more strong and brave ...If Avni was in juhi's place the entire story would've been different..she will fight to save herself and other girls and make sure GM will be punished..I wonder how Neil felt both are similar wen they were way different frm each other ..they were showing juhi as a Abla nari types..

Abt third angle I see her as a unwanted third angle btw Avneil..how long she can sustain as a third angle btw thm?? Neil doesn't even have any doubts or second taughts...he already cleared wat position Avni and juhi holds in his life every passing day..He clearly moved on frm juhi and madly in love with his wife now..As far as Avni is concerned she as MU abt Neil's love for juhi which will be cleared by Neil himself..then how can juhi be an effective third angle unless cvs give some strong reason to make her character more strong ... In olv's they said because of some majboori she was in rang mahal till now ..Tht majboori thing really scares me😕 don't know wat cvs planned for tht ..

The actress playing juhi role was not up to the mark(no offence ment) ..she fell very flat before the acting skills of Adiza..They were extremely gud actors poonam's acting was not strong and matching thm ..Honestly for me her screen space is really irritating to watch and i don't want her to be long time third angle btw Avneil..

I agree with you completely.. the actor playing Juhi is quite disappointing as playing abla nari even needs more than one expression we have seen on her face... I would have liked a conflict even with her turning negative if she were a good actor as good antagonists move the storyline .. but with her till now it has been annoying to watch .. and this when the creatives are trying to show her as a victim of human trafficking... I wish either she improves or the director helps her .. if she is going to be a presence, something needs to change .. as she's beeen a downer till now

Hey girl, welcome to the forum.

Ok hella unpopular opinion but I felt like a low key Sansa stark vibe from her (s1/2 when she was stuck in Lannister house and trying hard to survive among all the abuse). She's broken and rightly so cause as a women dignity is everything to us. Not only she gets physical and emotional abuse from that place but also the constant threat on her sexuality. And it's been years, if we expect to see her fighting spirit we are forgetting the time line here. She must have tried hard to flee on the initial days, but with time the spirit has diminished and now she's just a shell. I can't get over how hollow she sounded in front of Ali that none escapes this hell. Which summed up her psyche right then. And when she saw that courage in Ali and avni she tried to soak in it and probably for the first time did something which will save her and another person. So this is what she is right now, a person seeing sun for the first time and want to change her situation, hoping things will be same like five years back wrt Neil but knows now it's not and it saddens her further.

About what Neil said...we'll take it with a pinch of salt. When we love someone we tend to brush aside every short comings, especially when they are no longer with us. When Neil said he loved her more than his life that was his feelings then. In a way whover we love, our parents siblings or lover we do love them with all our heart. And now he loves avni more than anything. He also said juhi and avni is same, maybe their tendency to put them in danger? The way they make him feel? We know avni, we don't know juhi like Neil does. The guy is stuck in past so same way we expect to see that juhi but circumstances is way different.

I am really confused about juhi character... I know she has suffered for long 5 years and that will be the reason she is behaving like this like typical able nari.. But if avni would be in place on juhi things would be have been different... Avni is determined, strong headed, and fighter... From Neil point of veil avni and juhi are same but I don't see single similarity between them... Avni is very much different from juhi in all sense... .. And here I think poonam' poor acting skills are responsible... She should be improved... Frankly I don't want to see her character in show.. Can't tolerate her acting skills...

Hi Gan 😊 I have seen some of your edits of Avniel on insta. they were Beautiful as always 😳 after YHM i am hooked to this show trying my best not to attach to much with lead pair after experience with ishra 😆 but couldn't stop myself from appreciating and admiring AvNeil/Adiza they are really good i just hope and wish they don't get butchered as most of the leads. But as of now they are awesome and both zain and Aditi doing great job as AvNeil 👏 and doing full justice with there characters 😳

And as far as juhi and the actress playing the character didn't impress me much... may be its too early to say that but till now she is not up2 mark... let's see how her character develop in future...

Waise I am silent reader of this forum but couldn't stop myself from commenting after seeing your post... i really like the positive atmosphere of this Forum where Ppl try to understand and Respect each others POV 😊

Hope to see your posts often in this Forum especially on AvNeil 😳

I believe Neil's description of Juhi is his own perception of how he saw her when they dated and after she died. I agree with what Avengers said, one tends to view their loved ones with rose-tinted glasses...in that we are willing to ignore their shortcomings and just focus on their good traits.

It's subjective really, I don't think its really designed for the audience to necessarily 'agree' with Neil's opinion on Juhi. I for one fail to see many commonalities between Juhi and Avni. Obviously, Juhi has had to put up with both physical and mental abuse for 5 years and that has probably dimmed down her 'fighter spirit' which Neil talks about and may have existed before she got taken away. But what really sets the two of these girls apart for me is the way they have dealt with the negativity.

I find Avni's experience as a child (losing her parents, being thrown in prison at a tender age and being physically and mentally tortured by her grandma time and again) comparable to Juhi's years at the brothel. However, contrary to Juhi, Avni did't let the negativity dim down her fighter spirit and her sense for justice. In fact, if anything, she came out stronger and much more determined and that for me, is what sets Juhi and Avni apart and makes them different from one another.

Agree! Nice to see your post here. Seen some of your posts in YHM when I used to watch it. I struggle to reconcile the Juhi of Neil's description to this Juhi. Clearly, she has changed. 5 years with Ragini Pandit in RM will change anyone I suppose? But Avni retained her fighting spirit after DVM, but clearly, Juhi lost hers.

I feel Neil's version of Juhi and his memory of the feelings he had are highly romanticized in the tragedy of her loss. Maybe that is why to some extent after seeing her again, he is Very clear that it's Avni he loves. Avni is that One true love. It's clear Juhi did not make him feel the way Avni does. Yes he loved her. But no two love's are the same. This time the Deewanagi is on another level. We saw it almost from the start of their relationship. Neil was more invested than Avni. She had something to do, a purpose, a goal. Revenge. He called her a "Case" but that was just an excuse to justify his fascination, his obsession with a stranger that may or may not be a criminal.

I think the actor playing Juhi is not that effective. In front of AdiZa who emote so well she falls flat. I liked her in the Dargah scenes, but the rest of the time I cannot relate to her much. I think she will be a tedious 3rd angle and frankly not even a pairing for Ali. I think if Rhea where to reform she would still be a better pairing with Ali. I hope she leaves the story once she acts as a Catalyst in the AvNeil story. At this point I cant see her as a long-term fixture. She is just not someone I am enjoying watching. It's not coz she is the Ex, she is just not making me believe that Neil was in love with her, and that is indeed a failing. How can she be an effective third angle? I see "Vanilla" love when I see the old Juhi-Neil scenes. Maybe that was it. First love. Baby Vanilla. I only see Red Velvet, Laal Ishq when I see Avni and Neil together! Enough said!

I brought this thread up again today as the post I had made in September about Juhi still holds today... I don't know where in lies the fault .. the writing or the enacting .. but even till today .. it's been hard to relate to Juhi as the only thing we have seen out of the character onscreen is that expression I had posted .. Juhi the character needed a bit more attention to leave an impact as her storyline could be a powerful one and needed somehow some relatibility but in spite of trying to.. I fail to connect with Juhi even today though she's a victim to ultimate crime against anyone : human trafficking .

I hope the creatives pay attention to the audience feedback and do something miraculous to save the character if it's going to be here or curtail its stint solmehow.
