Interesting discussion. For Avni after knowing past the main insecurity would be as Mandy suggested is is she rebound or commitment. Currently she knows what attracted him to Juhi and they are similar but is yet clueless on what attracted him to her. As a normal woman this confusion and insecurity of what if will be there. I was thinking he wants her to open up but he also needs to open up about his feelings. Though Neil says move on from past it is not easy to move on from traumatic childhood and rejection from father. Father who literally handed her to wolves by sending her to remand home. Snatching away her brother. Yes she is coming out of it due to Neil and is able to see he is not like Ashish. I think her low self worth comes from main rejection from her father whom she idolised at one point in time.
Let us hope CVS surprise us and not take clich route of sacrifice and marriage. I hope they show communication as key which is so far the USP of the show. The way they surprised us with Neil revealing his past to Avni.
Exactly, its been easy looking at things from Neil's POV since he is being open about how he feels about her but now we are seeing Avni is not such a tubelight after all. Avni is well aware of his efforts to get closer to her but now we know why she is hesitating to reciprocate those actions. Avni does suffer from low self worth, remember how easily she thought of herself as a bad omen to those around her? The poor girl still carries around scars from her childhood.
I'm really looking forward to what she reveals to Neil under intoxication, I saw some thumbnails from their upcoming scenes in what Neil kisses her hand and in another he looks content as he lays next to a sleeping Avni.
I don't think it will be cliched route, Avni may attempt to sacrifice her love but Neil won't let her. Neil cannot misunderstand Avni like other male leads, he may not know her as well he thought but he does know her well enough to know her reasons behind this. Neil will not let her go without a fight not after the promises he made to her, he won't just let her leave and return to Juhi. It would go against everything we have seen of Neil's character
