Honestly speaking, ignore such posts because it is not our circus, not our monkeys.

Everyone knows Naamkaran is a very different show with a totally different plot and equally different love story and how. And everyone also knows how recycled Gul Khan's every story, every character is, and this is coming from me who has watched many of her shows before.

So leave it at that. People are gonna bark, paying no heed to them is what we can do best. Because honestly, our show is what is important to us and all those people with delusional theories are nothing more than background noise.

Naamkaran is different and the story of the leads and their equation is very different from Ishqbaaz. Naamkaran Cvs used the expression bagad billa which is very famous in Ishqbaaz, they could have used something else, I knew fans will say they are copying Ishqbaaz but we know Naamkaran, Neil and Avni are completely different from Ishqbaaz, Shivay and Anika

People do often feel with a few scenes some similarities between few shows as no doubt shows sometimes show something that has previously happened in another show but it hardly matters as long as we get to see AvNeil.

it's actually sad that ishqbaaz fans, of all people, are crying hue over copying of scenes cuz like, their show is basically a revamp of IPKKND. On top of that, they legit just lifted a plotline off a damn movie.
ok, even if we don't consider their own questionably original story, then it's damn near impossible to do "original" romantic scenes- most of it has all been done already, in some shape or form. the difference is in the context and execution, but I doubt that this fact will ever be taken into consideration by them.
dunno when they got the copyright over the word bagadbilla, but if they did, I'd love to see the official documentation of it. should be hilarious.
anyway our best bet is to simply ignore them. they're probably butthurt that nk has mostly been getting higher trps than them. 👍🏼

I have watched 3 GK shows and originality is not something she is known for! Just coz a word gets used once doesn't mean anything! It's just a word and it's not a catch phrase on this show like it is on the other show.

Neil and Avni are totally different and the best thing about Neil is that he's not full of it, and he actually listens to people and take what they have to say into account! I guess it's the nature of his job, he can't jump to conclusions or be one track minded. What I love about Avni is that she is strong and when needed she will take a stand for herself!

This show is very different and the treatment of the leads and thier love story is different to. Some things could look repetitive in ANY show not just this! But the most Unique thing about NK is that in this story the lesds are "Equals". Something no GK show has achieved to date. Like Bebe says people in glass houses should not throw stones!

I think that's hilarious. I've had the misfortune of having to put up with watching several episodes of it during the whole month of ramadan because in the uk, it aired when the fast opened and my mum didn't seem to like any of the other shows that aired at the same time slot, so we watched that whilst we opened our roza for iftaari and whilst we ate.

I don't see how they could have found anything similar between naamkarann and their crap-ass cringey show with clownish costumes, terrible acting and torturous story lines that could even remotely warrant a plagiarism accusation on naamkarann from them. And a plagiarism accusation is rich coming from fans of a show that blatantly ripped of an entire story from a popular bollywood movie just because they ran out of substantial things to show. Hypocrites 🤣

Every show has it's similarities, because indian tv is not original at all and all shows recycle plots from one another. Avneil's love story is a lot more unique compared to a lot of the love stories shown in indian serials, including that anika and her khadoos billu ji (whatever the hell she calls him) love story.

The only similarity that ishqbaaz even remotely have is pinky-shweta...both are hideously evil mother-in-laws who torture and humiliate their DIL for no reason other than because they are possessive mothers who have completely forgot the difference between a wife and a mother ...like every other saas shown on indian tv. These IB fans need to get over themselves.

Oh and avni used the name bagad billi something like that for neil, which anika also says I think. So now they are saying that this name didn't exist before ishqbaaz? PUH-LEAAAZE!

I agree Naamkaran has been very different from the other shows, Neil is neither an angry young man nor a spineless bystander, he is a mature, strong and broad minded man with principles and values which I love a lot. Avni has been shown as strong and determined and shrewd too when needed, I hope we get to see more of it as with the kitchen politics playing now and her being too lenient with Shweta despite all what she did gives me the smell of bahufication but maybe when the time comes Avni will show her pre-marriage avatar, I liked when she left refusing to give any explanations to people who didn't trust her word, I mean with your family you can't keep giving proofs all the time, trust is much needed in relationships. I really miss her shrewd avatar, the Avni who used to turn the tables on her conspiring enemies

By the way I like your posts, your views on the show, I came across them many times, I usually post mine on the episode discussion thread but it's visited by few people only so I don't get much to discuss, if you get time do drop your take on episodes there 😊
