He's reckless because of his love for Avni. But hopefully the recklessness doesn't turn into something more in the future.

But theres a thin late on what he's doing and being a grey character. It's fine for now as Avni is a part of the plan and he knows what she wants. But he's done things for her, without asking, because he believed she wanted them. Like flirting with Riya at the start. And Avni at the end told him that wasn't something she wanted because she didn't want to play with Riya's emotions (she ended up using him in the end but still)

And a part of me feels like "As long as Avni doesn't want this, I'll help in breaking the marriage" was an easter egg about the future. In which, he will attempt to break the marriage and go to drastic lengths when Avni wouldn't want it to go that far,
