The rest of today's episode was good, except for the Avni/ Neil/ Riya/ Ali confrontation.
I know none of the four actually have feelings for each other (other than Ali towards Avni). But today would have been a good start on showing atleast one of them having conflicting feelings.
Riya was holding onto Ali's hand. But as soon as Neil came into the picture, she forgot about Ali completely. That shouldn't happen if she had even a shadow of emotion towards Ali, something that the CVs want us to see. Even having Riya spare a single glance towards Ali whilst hugging Neil would have helped cement that she has some doubt.
I was actually satisified with both Avni and Ali's reactions. They were true to themselves.
Neil was sort of disappointing. He's trying to string Avni along to get to her truth as we saw todayyy...holding her hand and acting all emotionally alone, even though he has no plan of stopping the wedding. Then he's stringing Riya along, full on being like "I'm gonna not break my promise of marrying you." Which wouldn't be so bad, because we know he doesn't have feelings for her BUT he says that after telling her "to call of the wedding." Normally if this was an angry young man trope kind of a character, it would fit with the character. But Neil is supposed to be seen as an emotionally sensitive guy, who's rational.
Also I know he's supposed to hate/detach himself even more from Avni ever since he realised that he accidentally called her Juhi, but we should still see him conflicting his attraction towards her. Nothing too big, because the couple are supposed to be taking it slow. But still.
Lastly, I thought Neil wanted to use Ali to get to Avni's truth. He said so himself when he heard Ali call her Avni instead of Ananya. He also knows that Ananya is Avni and trying to prove it to be actually biologically true. Shouldn't he show some kind of concern towards Ali, his best friend? Like if he doesn't think its true, he should try protecting Ali from Ananya.
