Masquerade Party!
She came like a breath of fresh air.
Her eyes covered under the golden coloured mask.
I'm sure she had so many emotions in her eyes but that mask was the only obstacle between us and to explore more I dont know from where I gathered the courage to unmask her face.
As I lifted the mask, her pretty face lighted up the atmosphere.
She questioned me through her innocent eyes...why was I following her?
How could I not follow her as being a police it was my duty but my heart had always found a sort of mystery attached to her.
As we moved on the dance floor,she seemed more like a pearl.
"Neil why do you keep following me ??"
She asked moving back n forth along with my steps.
"Cz you always lie ...for once just try to tell me the truth...trust me for once"
Neil softly held her hand as she came towards him.
"why do you bother?"
You are going to get married soon...u should concentrate on it"
Avni spoke without blinking.
"I know that...give me another reason why I should not follow you?"
Neil smiled.
She moved a step back and slipped a bit but Neil pulled her back to him.
"Tell me Ananya"
"Cz there's no mystery about me...My life is an open book"
Ananya tried to maintain her balance.
"Riya is my best friend and your would be wife...you should pay more attention to her"
Ananya continued.
(Neil's POV)
I dont know why the mention of Riya infront of her always upsets me to the core...as if ...
As if Riya is the last thing I want to think of when Im with her.
Avni POV
Why is he trying to know me?I have never felt this weak in front of anyone ...what if he asks and someday I may get carried away and speak my heart out.
No Avni you cant be weak and that too infront of him.
He's nobody.
"Did you say something Ananya?"
"Nope ! And You?"
Neil nodded in a no.
He was lost for words.
Her presence itself had this effect on him.
Neil POV
Why do I feel so much better with her?
Avni(pov)
Come on Avni ..you r on the wrong track.Focus!you r not like other girls...you cant think of all this stuff.
He's meant for Riya...n Riya Only!!
She pulled her hand away and Neil came out of his world.
"What happend Ananya?"
She just turned away and walked out from there.
He ran towards her...Calling out her beautiful name.
