Who did Neil say this in front ? Or did he say it to himself? I want them to show Neil as Avni friend and soul mate.

Why are cvs destroying him to justify other characters?

I don't think he meant any of what he said about Ananya or else why would he defend her and protect her when her DUPPATA will get on fire and everyone will accuse her. Its his plan and motive to be in Mehta good books.
